For building houses, my piece of unneeded advice is to try to place the door on the inside of the block. Basically where the door doesn’t make the house have one smooth wall, but where it creates a sort of gap for texture. I tried my best to explain, sorry if it doesn’t make sense.

Vivilly can tell it is Jason Voorhees. 10:07 - Jason turns invisible on contact with water… 10:26 - Discovery: Jason goes stealth… Remaining invisible on ground for a duration of time. if you're reading this, I wanted to give you some advice regarding building if you really want it: Use stairs, slabs, trapdoors and what else and try to make the house look as least flat as possible. One way you can do that is by placing the door on the inside of the house. In case you build really small houses, instead of using glass for windows, you could do something like using stairs and slabs to create a tiny hole to see through, or you could use trapdoors. Basically yeah, don't be afraid to use all sorts of other types of a block-type to decorate it. Using slabs for ceiling is a pretty cool idea ngl, as it lets you see the logs while inside. But yeah, basically try to make the house as "3d" as possible using anything and everything. You could even add stuff like buttons here n there to add depth to the walls.
