This episode sparks the start of Phase 3 of this Modded Minecraft Let's Play, focussed around the Create Mod.
In this episode I add a handful of new mods including Applied Energistics 2, Waystones, Construction Wand, Trowels Fork and Enlightened. I also mine out a huge hole using Create Mod Mechanical Drills, go hunting for Meteors with a Meteor Compass from the AE2 Mod and build Amethyst and Certus Quartz farms so I can start producing a Singlularity.
I'm having a great time discovering the Create Mod in this fantastic Minecraft world. Filled with mods that add new biomes, terrain, mobs and so much more, not to mention the Create Mod.

@@foxynotailif you really wanna add a fun mod, add Create:Interactive. It allows tou to interact with stuff put on moving contraptions. Like if you put a bed, you can sleep on it, and your spawn point will be the train. You can use chests and use them, while in motion. I believe Waystones work too. Only downside is that trains can fall off of rails that end abruptly,and for now, seem to have no way to get back on.

I dont know how much you know of AE2 but you can put storage busses on storage controllers to get acces to everything in the drawers that are connected!

Waystones has a Warp Plate, which TP you when you step on it, which probably means you could travel while carrying a block :)

Just in case you didnt know, when rope pulleys are not moving you can climb them like ladders

One trick I've found with jetpacks and deep holes is that torches count as a block. So as you're flying up the side, place torches below you and it "refreshes" the height limit of your jet pack. You can use them as impromptu "ladders".

Tip for AE2: use an external storage on drawer controller for mass item storage.

With Create, you should be able to attach the amethyst and budding certus to a contraption, which you can then carry through waystones.

Gotta love how everyone I've ever watched encounter a tarantula hawk either gives it a wide berth or immediately attacks it, when both in the game and in reality the only things their aggressive towards are spiders, unless you provoke them first.

I understand that you added the Waystones mod so you can travel faster and I have nothing against that, you can do whatever you want, but I think it would be super cool if you made a bunch of trains and scheduled them so every few minutes there would be one and you could just take the ride. And that would be your transpotation on the map. But like I said, it would be super cool, but do whatever you want. I love your work ❤

I'll still be creating transport networks. But for the convenience of recording videos without wasting a bunch of time taking train rides, a teleportation mod was essential

Respect for adding Applied Energistics 2, those two Mods/Modpacks are both big and it will be quite interesting how you plan on using AE 2 I also dont have anything against using the infinite build wand, if you only use it for building and for buulding only

For the next adventure looking into warp plates will be helpful for travel back and forth between areas as they are warp plates but without a gui so you stand on them and it goes to the linked plate

I would note that Create Contraptions can pick up budding blocks and let you move them around like spawners

As soon as i heard you say "you can automate certus quartz" i started shaking my head as I've walked the exact same path you have. I haven't caught up with the latest episode yet, but there's a block called the crystal growth accelerator that makes the crystals grow faster. Use deployers with pickaxes to mine it and bang you can farm them

I saw it only get mentioned once, but if you add crystal growth accelerators on 5 sides of the certus budding blocks, you can significantly speed up the growth of certus quartz.

I think you can probably assemble the certus quarts as a train or minecart contraption, which would allow you to only take one trip. Just for future reference, so you don't have to make like six trips :)

22:00 drills have an internal inventory, they store the item, just like deployers do! use a funnel to extract

@foxynotail you should call the new area the mega chest and put a roof over your 2x2 chunk hole that looks like the top of a chest would look amazing, maybe you could make the top open as well so you could look inside and use the lid as a monitor to tell you what you have inside it would be like the tardis but a chest

if you hold an item in your offhand, the construction wand will only place that item. so you can quickly place a huge horizontal line (the wand can be put in horizontal only mode) without having to place the initial row by hand.

Trowels is one of those great little mods to add some serious variation to a build, but you have to be careful going overboard with it.

While the clutches work fine for controlling the deployers, you actually don't need them there. You can just let the links power the deployers directly and have them shut off after ending the cycle they broke the fully grown certus bud in, because deployers, like mech arms, do not start another operation cycle while they are powered by redstone

Love the content, also you should think about adding Ad Astra so you can make a cool space station to hold your AE2 system or moon base with a major create also another suggestion if you add mekanism it will help with automation of power and steel for Ad Astra

at the end of the day given this is a minimally edited modpack you can just use the infinity wand for building. in a progression pack sure devs have to stamp that stuff out and probably just blacklist stone or something but for casual play you can just not use it. ive never made a vanilla iron farm and i never will, i always get my iron through mining efforts somehow. you just decide how you want to play.

For the construction wands, i like to use the Iron one since its not over the top but still useful enough to build large structures very fast. (Actually, i didnt think about using them to DIG. XD)

Tip for the future - you can climb the rope for the rope pulley if you ever get stuck at the bottom!

Me anhilation plate for automated certus Water can be used instead of block for the singularity so with inf water source its preaty easy to automate

I've found that AE2 adds too many meteors to the world for my liking. Thankfully you can disable them in their config or spread them out using something like Sparse Structures.

And If I may ask, for waht you need singularity? It is usualy only used to connect two separeted AE2 system together through quantum ring, so if you need only one part of the system in the storage area you dont need andy singularity. AE2 is good but tehre is a fun part with channels on cables and power demand on bigger scales , and yes as averyone says it is good to connect it with drawers via the external storage bus but make sure tu set higher priority to the bus so it is pumped at first to the storage drawers.

The packet to big problem is rather common within modpacks. You should use the Packet Fixer mod too... well yes... fix the packet errors ^^

19:00 btw, I recently saw someone put villagers on seats, this can help you if you don't want them to feel caged. I am planning on creating a market at some point and this makes it look a lot better when you don't need to stuff the villager in!

That was an odd bug with the trying to automate the certus bug at first. I like your solution. I was watching Direwolf a while back and he automated the budding crystals with the Pedestals mod. That's a bit magic-themed, though, so I don't think it would fit into this pack. His solution did use a pickaxe-based method, similar to your final product.

you can reverse the rotation of the rope pulley and it will bring the drills back up to the surface.

A tip for ae2: you can actually use liquids in order to make a singularity from ae2, you dont need to use itens

When you go to make your singularity, don't fill it with 10k items. Use water. You can fill it with water instead of items. Cheaper and easier.

Uhm,uhm,uhmm. Foxy, you may want to search a bit about ae2. Only flawless ones are useful (others can be crafted) and all tiered certus quartz blocks can be charged (crystal growth accelerator) to speed up the growth, incredibly.

The Construction Wand Mod has the same ability as the Trowels Mod. While holding any wand... Press ("SHIFT + CTRL + Right Click") on an empty space that will open an option GUI. By enabling the random mode, it will work as the trowel.

How does it work better with create? Both systems are powerhouses and trivialise parts of the game and I've always though RS makes it a bit too easy.. with a storage bus connected to drawers and no limit on the number of items on a disk I rarely find the need to craft more than 1 disk. I do prefer AE2, the extra setup required, finding a meteor (did prefer when they didn't give all 4 plates in one), channel limits and item limits on disk it does feel a bit more balanced with what you have to invest to get that power.
