You should put a slop sink where your hose is. A slop sink in the shop is a great addition. Plus you don’t have to get stains and finish in your bathroom or kitchen sink, saves troubles with the wife.

Literally my first time posting on a KZbin video. Sam thank you so much for the "how the hell did I build this thing." It's nice to know someone who can do the amazing stuff you do has this thought too. Gives me hope and encouragement to keep working at this.

I agree. So many of us are like Sam. A small workshop in a garage - if we're lucky. Not many can relate to a 4000sq ft dream shop that a semi can be pulled into. This is what the rest of us live like.

Having worked in tiny workshops, or with limited options in my woodshop since I started teaching myself - I can certainly empathize with needing to have a space for everything, and being meticulous about planning. I recently upgraded to a much larger shop, and I'm hoping to carry those concepts over so I don't turn every horizontal surface into a catch all. Great ideas here!

Good works Sam! I appreciate these videos, much more practical and something more people can apply to their own shops / garages / skill set. Keep up the good work!

4:35 there s a metal riff right there. Expect some guys dressed in long black coats with dark eye makeup on your door soon asking for rights to sample it. I love how your shop is coming together. I can assure you that nothing will ever be organised; if it is you aren't producing anything. Keep it up Sam.

Hola! 🖐I'm a big believer in repurposing rather than building something new every single time a upgrade is made🔨📏📐. That was cool that you were able to "reclaim" that bench/table from your Home Gym and incorporated into your shop. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊

Hey Sam I've found that using multi material bits instead of masonry bits works great on cinderblock walls and you don't have to use a hammer drill so no noise

Great video Sam, small workshops are always a challenge to figure out work flow. I am going through some of the same decisions in my small space. One thought... I see you work in your crocs quite a bit... I think that's a sponsorship you need to pursue. ;-P

You could build a bunch of Murphy-style benches and get them down as needed and not have them take floor space the rest of the time.....and the back could double as storage...

Hey Sam. Have a epoxy question. When you made the guitar for Matt best you had to drill out the bubbles and do a flood coat over to fill them in. In the video you said it did the opposite of what you wanted, but it appeared to do the job. Did it work out? Any suggestions on doing something similar on a project I’m working on?
@SamGreenMaker
@SamGreenMaker 2 жыл бұрын
haha I just had to rewatch that video to remember what id did. I think what I meant is when I first put the flood coat on, It didn't seem to work and made it look worse. but then you'll see I was using a torch and heat gun to work the epoxy into the voids. then it worked really well. In the end it turned out pretty good. we learned a lot on that project about epoxy and air bubbles. using a vacuum pot helps a lot. all the casings created a lot of places for air to get trapped on that project.

@@SamGreenMaker thanks. I made myself a table and we had some air bubbles pop up over night. Going to give it a shot and try and drill and fill them. Thanks
