@@wristdisabledwriter2893 They were so sure the audience wouldn't like Dwight Schultz's Murdock, they'd actually fired him and moved him in with the stunt actors (which Dwight said he actually enjoyed), but then test audiences loved Murdock so much, they immediately re-hired Dwight. That, and bringing Dirk Benedict in as Face (after the pilot) were two of the smartest things the produces did! (Nothing against the Face actor in the pilot, but he was too much what you'd expect, while Dirk Benedict brought unusual qualities -- and got along famously with Dwight, which surely added extra spark to their scenes.)

In real life, yes. But on the show, BA was a Green Beret, which makes him a qualified parachute jumper. Him being afraid of flying is like a Navy SEAL being afraid of water.
