Chris Tucker was on the same show and brought the house down. He set the bar so high, the crowd booed the next few comedians off stage. Bernie saw Martin and asked about the booing, saying that it wasn't the Apollo. Martin was heading out to introduce the next comedian and just told Bernie "If you can't handle it, you shouldn't be here". Bernie scrapped his act and got with Kid Capri and told him to follow his lead. Before taking the stage he looked over at fellow comedian Bill Bellamy and said "I aint scared of these mf'ers" and the rest became legend.

“Ain’t scared of yall” with the Dj breaks were planned last minute by Bernie. The first comic got destroyed by the crowd. So much so that host Martin Lawrence really couldn’t change their mood before Bernie came on. Bernie’s experience running a variety night in Chicago helped him there.

The real funny thing about this set is what happened before it. The comic before Bernie was so bad that he was booed off the stage. That's why Bernie kept repeating, "You don't understand, I ain't scared of you MF's." It was his way of not only winning over the crowd but standing up for himself also.😂😂😂😂

The DJ name was DJ DJ Kid Capri. This was Bernie Mac National Coming out appearance. Yes Chris Tucker was on this show but was a After thought, after Charlie Chase the comic bombed, Martin asked ALL the comedians backstage to go out next and they ALL said No. Bernie said " I ain't scared of them Motha@#@#$#! And that's the story because I was there that night on the right.

To give some context, there was a fight right before he came out. That's why he came out that way. They said he was so good it changed the whole attitude of crowd.
