Love Jennings 🤙 was there just the weekend before you I think. Over the last couple years been there on an fz09, mt09sp, and had my fz07 track bike there last time. Heading back in a couple of weeks with the 07. Haha first time you touch knee is so funny definitely throws you for a loop. First time I got knee on my fz09 I thought I was going to low side 😂

I’m looking for a 1st bike and would like some input. I’m 6’3” for context. Im going to sit on a r3 tomorrow and a ninja 500 on Wednesday. Im leaning towards the r3 based on my limited research and there’s a Yamaha dealer in my town so its also the easiest, should I get a r3 in June then save and trade it in next spring for a new r7 or should I wait a little longer and get a bigger bike off the bat. Any input is greatly appreciated

Honestly if u have a head on your shoulders just go straight to the r7, its not nearly as fast as a super sport youll be fine

theres no "best starter bike" you gotta figure out what you like, cruisers, supermotos, sportbikes, dualsports, dressers, and you cant figure that out until you ride a few, i always wanted a cruiser/bobber type of bike until i rode a ninja and really liked how sportbikes handle, go test ride some bikes. and as far as CC goes thats also personal, if you have enough self control to not go 180mph on a liter bike than get a liter bike. But on more powerful bikes your margin of error is much smaller, so if you are just learning how manual works and you dont have the memory of working a clutch with your foot than you might kill yourself learning with your hands. what i mean is everyone stalls when learning manual, and most people end up dumping the clutch when learning manual; in a car when you dump the clutch your back tires spin, in a bike you loop it and fall off the back. But you also dont want a super small bike, you want to be able to get out of danger which a lot of the time is speeding up on a motorcycle, you need a bike that can do that. You will also learn better clutch and throttle control on a mid/large bike. On a super slow bike you will need to have it at WOT, and if you get used to getting on the gas really hard when you move up to a bike that has some decent power you might be so used to riding a small bike you give it too much gas and get yourself in trouble. But you wont be able to find out where you are in terms of riding until you ride, so maybe take a msf course and sit on all the bikes there, maybe test ride some off facebook marketplace but you really wouldnt want to drop some strangers bike
