I almost lost HOURS of work

So I was traveling the nether, and then a magma cube hit me off!
I logged off as I was falling and I got my friend to build a platform for me to land on, so I wouldn't fall in the lava! As I logged back on to land on the platform, I fell right under the platform and into the lava
