When I was getting my wheelchair (ultralight with a smartdrive power assist) insurance fucked me over so much that i had to go through a charity. It took months upon months to get it sponsored/fundraised but thankfully i got it right after my eighteenth birthday. Insurance and trying to get things covered all while dealing with garbage health is literal hell on earth. Hoping you can get a good powerchair that fits you well and gives you your life back!

Whats worse too is WITH a wheelchair people will actually improve health wise. Heck even just their mental health doing better to GO OUTSIDE can help sooo much.

One of my close friends is in the process of getting diagnosed with FND. The US healthcare system is a joke and a disappointment, and us chronically ill folk go through soooo much shit. I hope you are able to receive the care and aids you need, and that you start to feel better soon. FND and ulcerative colitis absolutely suck and I hope that we can collectively kick its ass

I have an ex QPP who has ulcerative colitis and he told me how much food was terrible for him to eat. He couldn't have been sprouts cuz you can get e coli from it if it's not properly handled, he can't have corn, he can't have so so so much and was in and out of hospitals. I'm so sorry for this all. This is horrific and you health has been hell
@treznorfan10 ай бұрын
man it’s really terrible that you have to deal with so much. being chronically ill is horrendous and although i don’t have any immune system problems, i have a degenerative joint disability and some chronic pain that mean i’ll probably need a wheelchair around when i turn 20. i’m definitely not looking forward to trying to deal with insurance since i’ll still have the ability to be ambulatory and i know they won’t want to fund anything 😭 american health care sucks
@RadPaxOfficial10 ай бұрын
Its so dumb. Oh you can KIND OF walk? Nah you're fine. I'm so sorry you're going through that. Just do what you can for the inflammation that your disease can cause to help the pain. All any of us can do ♥️

i have rosacea, which causes a lot of acne. somehow, this also affects my eyes and causes an abominably large amount of irritation - i'm on a specific kind of eyedrops to treat the irritation in that eye, which has more or less been confirmed to be dry eye. legit, don't worry too much about the skin.

The United States has the worst medical system in the world, and its appalling how its not been fixed. Thankfully I have insurance from having a life disability, and if I didn't have the insurance, some of the things I need such as an MRI once a year would cost thousands of dollars. I did the numbers once and found out that if I didn't have the insurance. That it would be cheaper to fly to Germany, have the MRI there (which is 300$ USD when last checked) and fly back, The cost of the MRI, round trip tickets, food and lodging would still be far cheaper than the cost of an MRI in the United States. For me it would be even less since, I have German cousins in Germany so staying with them would bring that cost down even more. I've been on chemo too, when I was 14, that stuff is a horrible experience to endure. I hope you can get the medical care you need. Sorry to hear its been so rough for you.

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this... I'm also in Oregon, and my boyfriend has been dealing with similar insurance issues. He has crohn's and his medication is around $8000 per dose that he has to go in for (about an hour of infusion), his insurance (state insurance) has been fighting with the hospital so he's been getting his infusions late recently and they keep paying the wrong people somehow... I really hope things get better for everyone. It's been really hard watching everyone around you getting screwed over not only by the system but by their own bodies...

Hey, listen mate - I remember your previous videos, and I remember their tone. Sure your situation is far from good, and I can't even imagine how hard it must to be to juggle so many medical issues with what you already have on your plate... BUT: I also remember how back then you did not believed you'll ever be on testosterone, did not know how long you'll survive, was in messy relationship, and look at yourself now! Going closer to be who you want to be, in healthy relationship, even better artist than you've been before... there is nothing to be ashamed off. You are strong person. Looks? They are fleeting anyway and it won't be covered by a bit of red skin, or few wounds. You're strong person that might still be struggling to get on that mountaint but if you look below (don't, it's high and scary) you'll see one hell of a hard, steep way you already powered through! Get better mate, on your own pace, and do not focus on few mishaps along the way. You'll eventually get where you want to be.

Sounds like a nightmare. I hate fighting insurance. Last year had to fight them for one of the meds I been on for like 5 years. This year luckily they still letting me take it but it when up a lot. Even though it taking more out of my paychecks each week. -_- I wish you the best insurance is so crazy and it sucks how much money you need to just keep your body going sometimes.

My fiance has FND! I'm glad you're talking about it, people get easily confused by literally everything you say when you're trying to explain what it is and what it does 😑. The second you say it has to do with the brain but you don't have brain damage, people are like "oh, hypocondria!" "-no, nope. Different thing entirely, like not even in the same family, completely unrelated"
