Thank you so much. You know on days when I wake and something new hurts I turn it around and say hey, I have it to hurt and most parts of still working as planned. So much more blessed than many I know and see. I try to do the same when I am washing my husband's (40 years) toothpaste splatter off the bathroom mirror. We had a neighbor who constantly left their garage door open, the garage light on. More than once, they left their van trunk open too. I told my husband, “I bet he leaves the refrigerator door open, the toilet seat up, the bathroom door when he’s in there, leaves water running."…. I went on and on, lol!

Happy Birthday. I am a 76 year old retired RN and if Botox was free I still would not get it. I just know that I would get one of the obscure life threatening side effects. People getting it at a young age have no idea that there are potential side effects. I don't worry about candle chemicals or that gas stoves are supposed to be bad too. I grew up with candles and gas stoves and I'm still here. We all need to relax.

First of all, ladies, I just want to say that you are both the youngest looking 40-somethings on the planet today. Happy Birthday to you. I’m glad to have shared yet another year of love and laughter with you. Secondly, Botox bad, laugh lines good. If you feel the need to Botox… no judgment here, because I’m one of those fortunate few that didn’t start getting forehead lines until I hit my mid-sixties and my 95-year-old mother looks younger than I do, so I’m guessing I don’t look all of my 66+ years of age because of good genes. I’ve been told repeatedly that I’m in better shape than most of my peers and I’m thankful for that each and every day. Thirdly, I live in a rural town in Alaska and we all frequently leave our cars running while we run into the post office or coffee shop to grab something and go. I usually shut off my car and take the keys with me but will restart it with the remote start after I lock the door so it will stay warm for the 3 to 5 minutes I’ll be inside. Silly, I know… but when you live in a cold climate and in a friendly, rural place, you do these things.

True story…when i was 22 (58 now), i ran into a convenience store (small town btw) for a soda (Tab, cuz i am that old)…tucked my purse under the front seat & did not lock the door. When i came out, a man was IN MY CAR stealing my money out of my purse. I had worked hard for that $21 dollars so i CHASED HIM…right around the corner were 2 cops. Long story, but went to trial & i won. Now i ALWAYS LOCK THE CAR. The end.

I once ran into a 7-11, just for a minute. And I came out and my doors were locked, I was thinking I didn't lock them. Got in and went to turn on the radio and the radio and speakers were gone. But they were nice enough to lock my doors when they were done . They were very fast. I just walked in to pay for gas and I didn't have to wait even to pay. But I do believe if someone wants something bad enough, they will get in if it's locked or not. I would like to think people are good.

Your car is the second most expensive thing you will own second only to your house. Be a good steward to it and lock the door. We must be mindful of our own personal safety for our own sake and the sake of our family. But I do remember pregnancy brain it’s a real thing!❤❤

I totally get you two! I am not a Botox person, I am 63 and turn 64 in fourteen weeks! I am what I am and people tell me I don’t look my age so that is a great win! I don’t leave my car running even when I run back in the house! I am the same, afraid I will lock my keys in my car! I don’t burn candles, I just let them be an air freshener, the scent gets too strong for me…well except when we cook something that can be stinky. Hope you have a fantastic birthday!

Diana, when you said you left your keys in the running van and want to think the best of people, my heart sank. I worked in corrections for 16+ years, reading files, and trust me on this one, there are criminals every way you look. Thinking it won't happen in a "nice" area is satan lying to you. At 41 years old please don't be so trusting of people. You don't want to become a victim from trusting strangers.

If I’m being honest, for tattooing, though I never had a particular stance on it, I did read that they found the dyes had all concentrated in people’s lymph nodes 20 years later. After that, I was like, nope. Between the heavy metals used for colors and the dyes, it’s just not for me. I’m sure we’re all exposed in many other areas, and we each avoid the best we can, but there’s my two cents.

I lived in a very nice, safe suburban neighborhood and one day, my whole perception changed when my kids and I waited in the grocery parking lot in the afternoon while my husband went into the store. We left our car on, we are inside for air conditioning, and some man thought maybe no one was in there and was trying to get in my car. Luckily, I locked the car while we were inside. It was so scary.luckily, I used my phone to call my husband and he finally noticed people were in the car and he left. Stay safe and cautious! I’m a more cautious person, so I had the doors locked, which I was so thankful for considering what had happened. I’m almost 40 and have never done Botox. I don’t like needles and the toxic stuff does scare me. It must be so expensive to do that so often as well. I should start having facials. It’s been since before I got married in my 20s. Take care 💕

Please, please, please do not leave your car running. I have an unbelievably sad story to share. About 25 years ago in a suburb of Kansas City a young mother and her seven year old son stopped to get a soda. The boy remained in the car while his mother zipped in to get the drink. The car was left running and was unlocked. In the blink of an eye someone jumped into the car. The mother ran outside and tried to pull her son from the car but the carjacker sped off with the little boy dangling outside the car, held in by his seat belt. There was a long pursuit as the carjacker sped through the streets. This story has a horrific ending. For years after that no child was left in a car while a parent made a dash into the store. I realize you didn’t have children in the car but just imagine the inconvenience, hassle, stress and cost of dealing with a stolen car. It’s such a simple thing to lock your car and take your keys. Written in love and kindness.

We live in a town of 10,000 and lock the house and our vehicles all the time because that’s what my husband grew up with. Better safe than sorry. Years ago a “ confused” ( he convinced the police)man tried getting into our house, trying both doors, and our vehicles.

We make coffee at home. No car or purse involved. Leave the car running with or without purse inside? Not normally, but while defrosting 21:29 snow or ice and car was not in the garage, definite yes. When I receive coffee giftcards I re-gift. I do not choose botox for my 68 yr old self, a friend says "if the barn needs painting then paint the barn." Candles--love em, but don't think of lighting them unless its Christmas. An excellent gift to give and receive. Love how the two of you play off each other, so fun.

We grew up the same way. Lived in the country. Never locked the doors. Keys left in the car all the time. My in-laws still do that. I wasn’t locking my car or parking it in the garage but I took my keys in. Then it dawned on me that someone could get in my car and open the garage and come in. So I quit doing that. Years ago, my sister worked in a major city about 30 miles away from home, and (a couple times) locked her keys in her car. Guess who mother nominated to drive the 60-mile round trip to get her? To this day, before I close the car door, I stop to assess that I have my keys in hand. And that was decades ago.

I was getting out at a restaurant (not in a great area, sadly) and I think I was pregnant or a new Mom of our 3rd and my husband and I just got new phones… I left the new phones and my purse in the car…. And I left the van door open… but the good news Diana is that even though it was not a great area is that we were blessed that someone went in the restaurant to find the owners of the vehicle! So there is some good in the world Diana!! Praise the Lord! ❤ Also, of course we love you guys! Please don’t stop sharing and providing us with God’s words!! I'm listening to the book "The Slightly Greener Method" by Tonya Harris. Very interesting info about toxins in our food, skincare products, etc. But she understands that it's hard to change... so she encourages you to just reduce chemicals in your life by a little bit to start, and you'll improve a little bit. At work at an assisted living facility, I went out to my car and saw an empty car with the trunk open and purse inside the trunk. We took the purse in building and closed the trunk. We asked everyone who left we asked if they had that car. We found the owner and she did not know the truck was open and purse in it

It was a very horrific experience due to the fact that it leaked to my other muscles. I could not move my neck, could barely swallow. NEVER again, it was a very frightening experience. Botulism is a poison, I wish more people would speak out about it.

🎠 Diana ~ no no no! I mean take the keys!! Please! I started putting my keys around my neck on a lanyard ~ it's a game changer. I leave part of the lanyard hanging out of my purse. I don't have to dig in my purse looking for my keys anymore 🔑🔑 ❤I love you ~ you do you❤

Diana, I've had Botox for migraine and it's very low risk. I hated it and it didn't help the migraines or I'd still be doing it, but I agree that the focus on youth is over the top. I'd love to see maturing gracefully glamorized! I really balk at seeing beauty procedures advertised at the DOCTOR'S OFFICE. Women rage point for me. I wrote "You are beautiful just the way you are," on paper and put it on top of the sign.

Happy birthday 😊 Medical uses for Botox (it’s a neurotoxin produced by bacteria - not a chemical like we normally think of chemicals) have nearly surpassed cosmetic uses for Botox. Can be very effective for migraines and used heavily for Parkinson’s patients (an increasing disease caused by pesticides). Vanity is vanity, and it has never been so toxic in our culture, but that is a symptom of dying empires. Embrace your wrinkles 😃 you earned them!

My daughter in her 30’s has Botox for her migraines. When nothing else works, it is worth trying.

My son has cerebral palsy and gets 10-20 injections of Botox in his shoulder, arm, and hand quarterly. It weakens muscles, so relaxes tightness that creeps in, then we can work on strengthening.
