My 2015 dodge Ram 1500 3.6L keeps doing this thing to me where like if I hit a bump or sometimes when I’m coming to a turn a message will pop on my dash saying shift to p while d is “blinking”. At this point I’m able to pull over and bring the truck to a stop I shift to p but i am no longer able to shift anymore like back to drive or Neutral. So at that point I just shut the truck off completely and then start it back up and usually it fixes but now it’s been doing it so often to the point where I had it looked at shop said they found the problem and “fixed it” 800 something dollars down the drain later still doing the same thing. You can take the electric motor off the back with metric allen wrenches, and you can then use a metric allen wrench to turn the screw in the center as you turn the piston back in. After assembly you turn that center screw until it locks the brake, then back it off a half turn and put the electric motor back on, job done.

Believe it or not I've seen cars that are barely a year old need brakes 🤣when I worked for Landrover we had one lady come in every couple months for new brakes and tires, husband didn't even bat an eye paying the bill everytime he knew his wife drove like a psycho lmao

Brake wear depends on the driver. My wife goes through front brakes every 10K to 15K. If she had to get the tires done, there must be some miles on the vehicle.

And that’s why I keep a turkey baster in my tool box. Perfect for removing brake fluid from master cylinders. Either because they are to full or I’m doing a fluid flush and it’s that much less old fluid I have to vacuum out .

Some cars also have that "torque vectoring" thing....aka... it makes the car use up rear pads like crazy... my Fiesta ST had the same thing, great up front!...and in not even 2 years it needed rears before I got my challenger... (that's a whole other nightmare....pay to play..)

This happened to my wife"s Wrangler. I was kinda dumfounded cause I grew up knowing front brakes wear out first but her fronts were perfect. Mechanic buddy told me its because of modern traction control and electronic manipulation of braking power/stability control. Makes sense I guess.

They told me the same thing about my Jetta at 10,000 miles. I declined any new brakes. My next oil change they told me the brakes were defective from the factory and they needed to replace them for free covered under warranty…

My son came down from new york State Where He is Station . We went to put brakes on his vehicle And the rotors Were Rust welded ,it took approximately Five hours Per tire. Even using a Torch wouldn't work.

I take it that you have the gen 2 stubby? Milwaukee really upgraded the torque on the new drill
