The MANTA, sneaky......it goes back and forth a few times like you're on a gentle swing and at the last back, it shoots you forth zero to 1,000 and you STAY that fast until the end of the ride and it took and felt like FOREVER to stop. They also take photos of you somewhere thru the process, kids first coaster---face wide eyed, overjoyed, huge smile Me---caught closed eyed in mid blood curdling scream.

5:00 Similar story. My grandmother was never one to like roller-coaster and back in the 80s when the family went to Disneyland, her kids managed to convince her to go on Space Mountain...Everyone on that ride knew Psalms 23 by heart by the time that ride ended XD

What I remember most about Space Mountain back in 1983 is being in line as we got close enough to see the lights moving rapidly in the dark and reading the dire warnings about securing all of our loose possessions. The poor, old guy in front of us was really getting worried about how he was going to be able to hold onto everything... his false teeth, hearing aids, and glass eye! 😄

When I was a kid they had the 1977 movie Rollercoaster on TV. It is about a guy who terrorizes people by sabotaging rollercoasters. I have refused to ever ride one of those things ever since.

Savanna is me, and he is my mom! 😂😂😂 When I was about eight, my family went to Silver Dollar City, I think it was fairly soon after the Giant Barn Swing opened. I was so excited to try it and I convinced my mom to take me. If you don’t know, it’s like a giant metal playground swing that straps you in only by your waist, not over your shoulders or anything. I was a pretty small kid. We have pictures of me, hands free, arms waving in the air, having the time of my life while my mom was holding on to the handlebars with her eyes closed. She said she was just hoping and praying I wouldn’t fly out. There was no second ride for me either. 😂

LOL this is a great relationship between father and daughter. I'm extremely close to my dad. We went on a family trip to Disney world the summer after my 8th grade year and my brother had just graduated high school. I told my brother that i could get dad to go on Rocking Roller coaster with us and he laughed because he knew that was a long shot. My advantage was that Rocking Rollercoaster is an indoor ride lol. So i asked dad to go with us and he hesitated. I said, "come on, it'll be fun!" Dad reiterated that he does not want to go on any ride with corkscrews. Me, knowing good and well that ride has not one, but 2 corkscrews, simply stated, "Dad...it's an indoor Rollercoaster. How bad can it be?" 💀💀 My brother almost spit out his drink when he heard my reply but he held it together lol. This logic checked out with my dad and he agreed 😂. He wouldn't know this because he didn't grow up with indoor coasters, but all of us that have know that the indoor ones are almost always worse lol. In the end, he laughed and had a blast. I would never get him to do anything that i thought he wouldn't enjoy or would hurt him, though. It's all just harmless fun lol.

This is amazing. I’ve totally ridden the Aerosmith Coaster with Savannah!! I loved it. It was so smooth. And also it’s in a building so you don’t have to see how high you are!!! And you start out with a huge blast forward and you he rackety Tackett up the hill is all indoors so no heights to worry about!!! And yes. Savannah and I are very close!!

I used to work for a daycare and I had to escort my class of 32 preschool children to The Lost Sea which is a cave that goes (I can't remember) how far underground it goes. Maybe 2 miles or so with dangerous features such as the bottomless hole and steep inclines and declines that were slick and wet because it is a CAVE! Lol Did I mention I was watching 32 curious energetic preschoolers? 😮 Anyway at the bottom of the cave we all took a ride on a Glass bottom boat in the most beautiful clear baby blue water and saw the clear fish big as TN Catfish. It was the best part of the trip. But then we started our hike back out of the cave. I never was so worried about the children before or after! My nerves wouldn't have let me get through it now at 63 but I was 31 then. Lol I always thought I'd go back and do it again with my grandkids but I haven't yet. It's on my bucket list though. But idk if they have some sort of provisions for people with disabilities. Idk if it's even possible. That was my Vietnam experience! They probably have guidelines or ratios for numbers of children and daycare workers now but not then. It scared me silly 😂
