I'm the same started ultimate team back in fifa 12 and you dpend most of yiur time on the menus to get players you dont play with half the time because you get so fed up with how bad the game plays and how tryhard everyone is, efootballs gameplay reminds me a lot more of older fifa now its just spam left stick dribbling with agile players and try hards that just abuse what ever the broken mechanics is that year just to win at all costs, I like how chill playing efootball is

I've played pretty much every iteration of both since the very beginning with ISS and FIFA International Soccer in the mid 90s. ISS/PES has always had the more realistic and satisfying football. FIFA has always been an arcade-style football game, and PES has always been a sim.

One tip I can give is when sprinting with a defender, if you hold R1 and R2, it makes your defenders run way faster than anyone with the ball.

Yeah holding r1 and R2 together is called "super cancel" it basically turns your player full manual. So if you're receiving a through ball in an awkward position you should use this trick to run and dictate where you want your attacker to pick the ball

Love how the ball physics is just unpredictable. In fifa, the ball just moves based on what the game wants. The balls actually bounces around when theres 50-50 or etc. unlike fifa where a high rating player could cushion a 100mph pass 😂

Remember, gameplay makes a football game, not graphics. It may look like shit but at least when you play it, you don't get depression like FIFA where all you have to do is either run down the line, get 30 rebounds off tackles, or learn half of the skill moves just to get past a defender AI. As for controlling, Full Manual is what a lot of the really good players exploit as you can position the ball wherever you aim, with assists, there is a general path good players predict the passes will go and always get the interception. With Full Manual, you can aim just out of reach of the AI and you can squeeze passes through.

If we are talking about pure gameplay... Efootball is by miles better and more fun the fifa... However the game is more than just "gameplay", it's cards, content, promos, game modes... Sbc.. Obj n the list goes on, this so where FIFA aced it! Idk what it is about efootball, when you lose... It's alright, you just play again.. With FIFA it's rage and frustrations... Idk why? if you're holding sprint and try to take a first touch it'll run through, so maybe try letting go of sprint when trying to control the ball, might make a difference :)

Play eFootball on live broadcast, stadium and duel cameras, try them all (offline and in the rain) ...Holding L2 plus X is for front tackle and some pass interceptions ...L2 is also for ball protection , flick L2 for short protection, and pressing longer for long protection ... but it doesn't work ALL THE TIME k in Walt Disney's football, it depends on the situation, on the positioning in front of the ball, on the physique, but also on the shape of the player in that moment ... it's a simulator, not fifa! ... This is one of the many aspects that make every match different ... You can also turn slowly for protection, pirouette ... learn how to play it and get used to it and YOU WILL .. on fifa !!!! It gives you that feeling of unpredictability ... I've been playing virtual football since 1990, on the Amiga 500, so I have experience .. I'm telling you that it's the best football in recent years in terms of gameplay, and that's what matters ..I play without commentary

On Pes. you will mostly see crazy passer everywhere online. cause not much of a thru pass and speed burst and outrun defender meta that much on pes and thats why its fun. and the defender ai respon slightly better then fifa. played both like 20 years now. fifa still cant beat the actual football gameplay by pes. they just outdone by fifa in term of the graphic and the name "Fifa" sponsor. thats why people prefer fifa. but in term of gameplay pes is actually much better and solid.

Honestly, stuff like UI, Graphics, and Presentation should be given very little consideration when it comes to a football game. What matters is gameplay, you can have something as good looking as FIFA but we can all agree that the gameplay is dreadful. eFootball has its own gameplay problems but it is more fun to play than FIFA, at least in eFootball I don't need to do 30 elasticos with the stepover boost to score a goal. eFootball, my opponent has to be shit at defending and position their players right to get an interception. FIFA has 20 Tackle Tax, eFootball at least the person getting tackled goes into animation so they don't just retain the ball off rebounds.

The gameplay is amazing for 24, prob the best I have ever played and I’ve played every fifa and pes since the 90’s. But I do not like that everyone one plays with 90 plus rated teams. I have made a personal rule for my self, ONLY train players with match do,not training items. And I only allow myself 3 players rated 85 and up. This way the characteristics of the new players really come foreward

What I hate about fifa is how the players are damn near as fast as the ball. Chip shots, crosses through balls, so many instances where the defender will intercept like it’s nothing. I’ll straight up cross the ball wide and the defender sprints faster than the cross to intercept it after being like 30 meters away from the target. So stupid. Also defenders jockey so stupidly fast. I’ll juke someone and the jockey back is faster than a sprint. Sometimes my player is already running towards goal and the defender will outpace him on a loose ball with their back to goal. Like wtf is even that?? Ain’t no way a defender is faster from standing still, back towards the ball vs the forward running full sprint towards the ball

But I finally came back with new eFootball 2024 and I am addicted to it 😀now. They finally did good with the new menus. I also enjoy playing it on mobile as well (shocker.. I hate touch controls). PES has been a game that's actually football. efootball took a couple of years but its now where PES would have been in 2024. FIFA has all the glamour but its just not football at all. This you have to actually play like a footballer. FC24 will be ice skating scripting gameplay as always. Even the cards look better. Like real card you buy. I don't get the big attraction to FIFA. If you are under 17 maybe but anyone else you'd think would prefer to play actual football.

Once you learn to use super cancel (R1+R2) and the power actions (pass, shoot, cross + R2 tap), you’d enjoy the game even more. And put your pass assist level at 3 for exciting passing play.

It’s crazy I just played the game without any knowledge of it was good and I instantly typed it into KZbin after playing one 45 minute half not even a full game just to see if I was tweaking or if other ppl love it too feels better than fifa slower and physics are so much better for passes just don’t feel like ur rewarded for spamming 18 passes without direction and it seems like players are just more alive and aware of everything just like odegaard not just standing still off the ball actually pressing a defender in their final third and everyone seems to take up better more realistic positioning. In fifa I’m used to my players doing nothing or jogging on the spot off the ball but in this it feels like they’ve been programmed to actually do something never just jog in circles or on the spot and actually press a player or fill a hole or just hold his right positioning instead of absolutely nothing.
