If I was a boxer I’d never come and look at the KZbin comments some people leave. So disrespectful and full of idiots. Tony definitely is a fighter who people have mixed feelings about but he’s a real fighter at that. People wanting him to get knocked out, but he was willing to step in there and fight anyone for your entertainment. He went on a 10 fight win streak beating Cleverly, Ilungu for a world title, knocked Flores out in 3 rounds, stopped Haye twice and then went 8 rounds and got beaten by the undisputed cruiserweight king who was simply a better, and much faster boxer. People say ‘Haye was finished’ yeah he was, but still an incredibly dangerous fighter. Absolutely no shame for Bellew at all. He’s had a great career. British, European, commonwealth, and world champion. Doesn’t sound too bad to me. Good on you Tony mate

He also won 3 ABA titles. Most of the people commenting negatively wouldn't have the capabilities to even be entered in a decent level and amateur tournament so I'm sure he's not too bothered

Exactly, many boxer's are forced in to retirement, it's never on their terms. But with Tony it was, he got the better of boxing, boxing didn't get the better of him. You have to admire that, good for him not many people get to make money off their passion, but he did.

The reason being he was very slippery, I couldn’t pin him down. He was light on his feet, weighing 208lbs, he was a cruiserweight champion and he stepped up into heavyweights. He was a slick, talented boxer and I tried to walk him down, use my size and power, but he was just outboxing me. What I’m good at - boxing, moving, slipping and sliding - I couldn’t do against Steve Cunningham because he was quicker than me. I think Tyson has the boxing iq to potentially beat anyone. The only question may be is it 6-12 months too early after the lay off. I’ve actually written a song about his comeback from mental health. “The hardest fight” is N anthem for him and for others suffering rom mental health. Would be interesting to know everyone’s views on Usyk and see if he could beat the big heavyweights?

Yeah but you can't take away the fact even if Tony was at his best or not the other man who I am not familiar with is just in a different class. His level over boxing and bravery when it comes to the confidence when he throws and takes hits like a real man, he is one tough cookie but Tony showed true heart and didn't care if he got knocked out so I have high respect for that.

I think Tony had to drop 30lb which is a lot to lose in such a short time, I remember when Ricky Hatton drop a load of weight to fight Pac Man and he looked drained at the weight. Sometimes people forget how much Tyson Fury lost, hes lost over 100lb.

I feel Bellew did better than expected but he blew his load in the 7 rounds. So yes he won many rounds, but Usyk gave him pressure throughout and broke him down to the body and head and let Tony throw a lot of hard shots and made him miss. It's not a sprint... Usyk made Tony get tired and remained at his own rhythm.

When Bellew talks about the Joshua - Usyk fight he reasons with his own insecurities and concludes that Joshua would be too big and strong for Usyk. Usyk doesn't have those insecurities. He sees nothing in Joshua's arsenal that's extraordinary. He's 100% confident that he will beat Joshua and that's the only thing that matters. And that's why Usyk is Usyk. He has 100% real confidence and faith in his ability to not be caught by anything big from Joshua. Usyk will also be bigger when he moves up. I look forward to the adventures of Usyk's hw career and I honestly believe he will beat Joshua. No doubt in my mind. He will school everyone but Fury.

dsadsa sadsada agreed with a lot of what you said, will be interesting to see if he can live with the power difference Joshua brings, as for Fury, Usyk is far better technically, but carries far more weight, not sure Fury has the movement to trap Usyk on the ropes to lean on him.

J Clayton surely he will, until we see what Usyk arrives in the hw division, I guess it’s all speculation, but he has elite fundamentals which should stand him in good stead, if nothing else, he brings quality to a division that is starting to perk up a little, for a long time the hw scene has resembled little more than bear wrestling.

Tony, you are a legendary boxer, but even greater human! One of the most humble, pure and honest, yet the most exciting to watch in my opinion. I am gutted that we are losing you. I was in the Manchester arena screaming my lungs out, the same way I did when you knocked Haye out of the ropes in the O2. You are a true legend. My prediction was spot on. All those enchanted by the sky and match room propaganda. Bellew had only a punchers chance of winning. He even admitted that in a interview. Usyk is on a another level. Now all will know that Usyk is the one. All those that doubted. Bellew was easy work for Usyk as I predicted. I predicted he would break bellew down and in the later rounds knock him out. The casual boxing fan boys it appears have never studied Usyk in previous fights. Bellew was deluded to even think he could knock him out. Retire and enjoy those McDonald's in front of the TV with the remote with the wife and kinds. The cocky arrogant loudmouth got utterly schooled. ha ha ha. Some may even say he deserved to have been knocked out.
