I love this hymn which I've not heard before. But when I was a child I remember wondering about the name of the local gospel minister's house - Beulah Villa. Now I know. I think he was looking forward to his heavenly home, rather than the temporary attractions of this world. Thank you so much for posting this hymn.

we have sung this for many years It is always meaningful. I believe the song describes a life sold out to God, so the preciousness of Heaven is as if one were nearly HOME.
