When I think of loving myself I think of that as accepting myself like God created me. How I look, my talents or lack thereof. That's how I want to love my neighbors. Accept them as they are. This is a very thought provoking study. I love it. Annie

I really need day 6 today. Growing older is a challenge for my husband and me. But I can still have an impact on others for Jesus, even when I can't physically do things for others. I can still pray and build a relationship with them. ❤

Wonderful and gentle teaching. I love your humble attitude. I felt like I was to give some valuable things away. I prayed about it. I felt I did it unto the Lord, but later I had to wonder because when I didn't get the responses like I had hoped for, it was disappointing. At that point I had to ask myself...."Did you really do this for the Lord?" Now I can honestly say, I did...but maybe not 100% at first. So in the end, God blessed me so much because I learned a wonderful lesson. I love this class! Thank you so much. xxx

Oh what a sweet truth you have shared here, Linda. Thank you for that. Yes...sometimes we might have good motivations but we get off track in some way. When we do everything unto the Lord, we will have much less frustration when people do not appreciate what we offer as we would wish for them to. For Day 6, that last question that you felt didn’t fit in, well it kind of pointed out something to me. At church, when I play the piano once or twice a month, I ask God to make my playing a blessing to others because I love our church family. After the service, several people will come up and give me a compliment about my playing. It makes me feel very conflicted! I was always taught that if someone gives you a compliment, then you must say thank you to receive that gift. But what I want to say is “you should thank God because he guided my hands”, but then it might make people upset because it may come across as chastising. On top of all this, I find that I am liking the compliments, then I worry about getting a swollen head! Sherry, I’m just a mess when it comes to this subject! I’m not real far along in my Christian journey, so maybe it just takes time and a more mature faith to handle this all with humility and grace. Yes, I will definitely pray about it…😉 ❤-Brenda

I was feeling with the question that didn't fit in: how much focus am I giving to God in all I do? Sometimes I know I really want the approval of others, whereas my focus should be on gaining the Lord's approval, through doing all things prayerfully in His spirit. I love the lines from the chorus "Turn your eyes upon Jesus's, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim inthe light of His glory and grace".

The way I see it, If someone says that you are talented, or beautiful, or creative, or encouraging, what they're actually saying is, "I agree with God. He made you...and you are good. You are his child. And I see that in you!" Now that's a compliment that makes me happy! Thank you for watching and for sharing from your heart, Brenda. ♥️

These three lessons were powerful for me. I started scripture writing with you in August. Like so many who have written on here, I cannot explain the profound changes that this has brought to my soul. It is healing me. I am calmer and more patient. My relationship with God is a dream come true. Humbling myself to Him has become so much easier. I am able to trust Him and His timing better. It's supernatural, really. It is profound to me that He says that our physical health is connected to our soul health. Wow! I am encouraged that as my soul prospers, my physical health will too! I link too much of how I see myself to my weight. Jesus told me to cast the cares about this onto Him, so I did! Hallelujah!

I also had trouble with the last two questions and the final response. I hope that what I do is out of love rather than obligation other than the obligation I feel to God for all he has blessed me with. And the last one about what is blocking me from loving myself was hard to answer too.

I’m trying to catch up with the Bible study. Hurricane Helene derailed me for a couple of weeks now, but wanted to quickly say that I didn’t answer the day 6 question about doing for others in the name of manipulation, control, etc. Like you, I didn’t understand the question or how to answer it! I’m glad to know you left it blank as well. It was tough for me because I like to complete everything 😂. I need to get over that, though, because this study is for me and my relationship with Jesus…not to fill in the blanks because that’s what I’m supposed to do!

I really enjoyed week one. Im going to try the book idea and see if that will help me , because I'll give my worries or concerns to the Lord and in five minutes Im sitting there trying to figure them out or worring. I trust him, i have faith in him, i believe he will work it out or fix the problem, but i take it back after asking him for the help. But i pray that it will change with using the book method.

I enjoyed this episode. Well Sherry my surgery is set. I do one eye on the 2rd of October and the other eye is on the 9th. So I will try to do as much of the lessons I can before my surgery. If I fall short I will pick up when I can read again. I am enjoying this. Your are a wonderful person. ❤❤❤

Can I ask what everyone is using to color the pages with? I was using colored pencils because I was afraid the color would go through the paper, but the color is just so light, I’m not happy with it.
