Give Kelvin the task to “Maintain the base” and he will repair anything that was damaged by the mutants. I’ve seen him using the repair hammer on my stone walls so he knows what has been damaged even though I can’t see the damage.

Kelvin repairs things automatically when you set hiom to maintain base, he will also reset traps and fill holders, all of them and he will stay at base when you go out, so maintain base is so far the best feature for kelvin imo.

I think maybe the raccoons are getting under your base and somehow still grabbing fish off drying wracks thru the floor but I’m not sure if it’s true. Seeing them on the ice and then running under you base made me think of it at 14:08

The face of the skull is the front. The build print shows you the activation area or the spot that's supposed to trip enemies into it. Kage: is there a way to hide that gather list it's annoying me Gather list: 1 skull Kage: "proceeds to ignore the gather list" I think it's a head it can't be a skull right Gather list: 1 SKULL

2:40 The treehouse wont last if its not reinforced by 4 logs. It'll take just 2 hits from any giant or red ones to take it down. I'm not sure if you can use stones to reinforce it but if you can, you can probably give it more hp than just log reinforcements

Oh also, since you haven’t played in a while, you might not know about Kelvin’s update. You can tell him to “maintain base” which he will repair and take care of the base for the moment Also you can put more logs on the bonfire. It does two small ones and two big ones. Try it.

i just dry meat. ive sealed my drying rack under 2 layers of roofs and walls and the racoons will just spawn in my place and take my fish

In my game, I placed the food storage(Large shelves) 3 floors up and the racoons still managed to steal it from ground floor. I dealt with them by placing a smaller food storage(small shelf) outside in the ground filled with Animal traps around it. They stopped going after my main storage after that. In winter, I still end up getting free meat because of them getting trapped

For now storing fish is super bugged. No matter where you store the drying racks or how many walls you have surrounding them, the birds will steal your fish. Switch to meat to escape that problem.

Entertainment bunker (even pre-keycard) is my preferred wire spot, 2 wire/2 tape/2 bulbs/solar panel and car batteries right outside all respawn on load, plus there’s a 3D printer and respawning resin as well as crossbow bolts and carbon arrows. You also mentioned you had extra skin pouches. Most of my wire in between bunker runs actually comes from those.

You can ask Kelvin to collect the arrows you shot if you have an altercation, he’s really good at it!!!

Great episode Kage! Man wait till you get into caves & stuff your gonna love it! Kelvin will take care of base just tell him to maintain base he repairs, refills, resets traps all kinds of stuff. I set him to that he just keeps going on my save he takes breaks but goes right back at it. I make a lot of storage holders and when he maintains he fills em all. Loving the game!! Much different!!

Combat can be difficult, the best way is to either get guns. The handgun and the shotgun should be given to Verginia. She doesn’t require any ammo and is a absolute cannon with them. Another good tip is when you get the shotgun you can put it in a weapon rack, then reload the game and go back to get another shotgun. This helps you and V have the best gun in the game!

Loving the content bro! It’s good when you kill a cannibal to collect their legs, arms and heads on a stick, to make a drink in your pot called “Greg”. The drink gives you a strength buff plus makes your thirst and hunger bar go up!

Take advantage of the traps that were already in your book. The flyswatter trap is very efficient, especially if you put them to create a wall.

The red mark only shows if you try and build something to a broken structure, so you just have to hit everything with the repair hammer. Or tell Kelvin to repair and he can tell what needs fixing.

How did you manage to put a trap that's in a directional way, put in a backwards way? Where the skull is looking, that's forwards... Like the claymore, face towards your enemies...

You might not be able to store more than one mode of transportation. So if you want the little wheel thing in your bag you’d have to take out the glider maybe

Personally I prefer the grinder trap, works best on normal sized cannibals but will kill anything close to it, especially if you have a few of them, face em the right way mixed with the other traps you become op...

I have considered getting this game and playing it, but that three legged chick that keeps showing up and she would creep me the hell out. The mutants are fine, they are supposed to be creepy and you can just kill them and be done with them. But her? I mean, why is she wearing a bathing suit just walking around the woods? How did she kill that rabbit she brought you? Go away, your giving me the willies.

Yes! Another channel (Farkit) showing new building tips shows the guy splitting a quarter log aimed at a two logs high and a half log wide window opening and it made shutters. It might not work for another size. To be able to move things around once placed they need all the parts to be made into a single object or a hierarchal group. Not all Unity and Unreal developers know how the 3D modeling aspect of the game engine works. Some learn over time, others never do.

Kage, lack of scavenged resources is a bad idea, but living in winter climates are too terrible for you as taking damage caused by hypothermia. Remember if you die for no reason from monsters, starvation/dehydration and cold weather, you'll have to start over, so be very careful!! 🥶🥶

This comment is NOT for the “cheating aspect” but if you type in (cheatsticks) and then press F1 and then type in (CameraFOV 97) you don’t have to use 97, I just feel like that’s a sweet spot. But you can put any number you want for a wider FOV, which makes the game feel more bigger than it is.

Problems arise when bots copyright claim it in "bad faith" causing the bot owner to immediately get the revenue from the video, while forcing Kage to get in touch with KZbin and lawyers to fight the issue, and in the end the bot owner still retains partial monetization.
