He was trying to say that God is the giver of gifts so God cannot be gifted and that the one who is gifted is lower than the one who gives the gift which is God. So we as humans are for lack of a better word "more gifted than God" not necessarily in comparison to God. Because the preacher stated that because God is the giver of gifts HE(God) cannot be gifted and that if God is gifted than means He received it from someone and since God didn't receive anything from anyone.. He never meant he is powerful than God but rather if you are talking about gifts like speaking in tongues, gift of prophecy, ministering of songs, then God cannot be gifted with that. First of all understand the meaning of gift in the bible. If God is gifted, then who gave Him that gifts? And that does not makes God the creator if He receives gifts to operate. Prophet was saying that God Himself operate beyond gifts, and that its men who operates in gifts received from God. So God is beyond prophetic gift, gifts of healing.

Actually he meant God is not gifted, as he didn’t add any special abilities, skills or gifts over time as regarding improvement. In that he is correct, cause who gifted God, such a one must have been greater than him then. So in essence even the one with one gift is more gifted. But we don’t mention God on any scale of comparison, and in that there is a reservation. So he shouldn’t be interpreted out of the context he is trying to push. But anyway God help us all. ❤
