I know you didn't try to bo precise about the 99%, but I got curious and "did the math". Out of an estimated number of 8,118,835,999 people living on earth, only around 11,040 athletes participate in the 2024 olympics. Meaning she is doing something 0.9999986402% of people couldn't do this year.

The result from Paris, she came sixth in her heat in the first round and didn't advance. But that doesn't matter, she can forever call herself an Olympian. My cousin participated in Athens 2004 in the rowing, came last in her race, but she still talks about the whole experience to this day. Well done Mia for getting there.
