ALP's are behind the times. If you truly want evasion, what I used to do for cannonball running was the following: Buy a radar jammer, mount it under your bumper behind the bumper plastic, and inside a plastic shell. Attach a cable pull to the cabin of your vehicle so that you can pull it off at speed once cops flash you. The plastic shell that radar signals can travel through and is highway grey colored, protects the jammer from sliding on the highway, allowing you to come pick it back up hours later. Test the Radar Jammer performance with a radar gun(more affordable than a laser gun) purchased separately. Laser detecting and jamming (all legal) are much simpler.

In Pennsylvania it's only legal for state police to run radar and it's only legal for them to use k band...nothing else not even laser...there are several states that jamming laser is illegal..the k40 isn't close to the best for radar or laser...laser jamming you should go ALPs or Uniden laser jammer...the best two remote detectors are Uniden r9 and redline 360ci...your car deserves the best or second best system not 8th or 9th best...I'm sure you don't believe me on the laws but look them.up and especially Pennsylvania law...the best over all possible setup for radar is a Uniden r4 on the front windshield and a Uniden r4 on the tear windshield...I know that doest compute but two independent detectors can give you information that you can't understand until you set it up..and its 100% the longest range possible for front and rear together...another est option is a Uniden r8 on the front windshield and a r4 on the rear windshield

All the K40 radar detectors I have ever owned since 1993 had only mediocre detection range.

We've used them out in Arizona and Utah and when it's flat they will easily detect over a mile away.

You paid all that money for a Red-eye, and you installed a K40 system??? Either a Valentine 1 Gen2 paired with an AL Priority system or the Uniden R9 would be more appropriate. That's like buying a multi million dollar Beach front home and buying the furniture from The Dollar Store. A V1 Gen2 with an AL Priority system or The Uniden R9 system would be more appropriate and would work MUCH better.

This guy could’ve been a little more respectful in his comment, but he’s not wrong in regards to placement. I’m a fellow PA resident, very invested into this technology. You nailed the rear of the vehicle, but on the front end I don’t see any effort to tilt the jammers so they are level with the ground. Even the slightest degree of tilting can affect their performance. If adjusting properly and lined up well, there should be no issue. This is a good install, but I’d definitely recommend buying a DragonEye laser gun and testing the work yourself. Just my two cents. Happy to see such video production alone go into this kind of work. Good stuff!
