So if I create wood blocks and serigraphs and print them, and that’s all I do, not sure why I wouldn’t use the term printmaker? What do you call an artist who creates and prints their own work and that’s how they make living?

Hello Judgeworks. If your primary occupation is printing other people's work then you are a printmaker. If your primary occupation, (as is mine) is to print your own work, then you are an artist printmaker. That was my assertion in the little film I made. Do you disaggree?

@@pandorareilly4607 Artist Printmaker, I must've missed where you said that in the video. Yes I agree. I don't print others works (or try like hell to never do that !- for the same reasons you have for not printing others works). I enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, studio space and skills. Cheers

@@judgeworks3687 hello. Actually I'm Chris but am using my partner's name because I can't work out the tech to change it. Thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you didn't take offence. Chris

Thank you so much for this and your other videos! You have provided such a great definition/explanation and history lesson into printmaking❤ Your presentation and humor are both very enjoyable. I am in Texas but it would be a dream to visit your studio and the other great printmaking studios in the UK.
