I always hate seeing people scream in comments about healthcare workers and their nails. Its going to depend on the hospital and policy. I work in an inpatient pharmacy where I'm allowed per policy 1/4 inch max length and nail polish (no powder, gel, acrylic, and no chips) but I'm not allowed makeup due to air particle contamination.

Not just that, when working in a medical environment from admin to theatre doc, you are restricted on wearing or painting nails as it is a infection controlled area, you can cross contaminate a clean area or person's resulting in an infection. Hospitals are clean areas. Worked in the medical field for over 15 yrs, and as soon as I see an employee with nails they are sent home, until they are removed. It's the health and safety of our cares faculties and patients that matter, not how your nails look.

@@gabby_vibezz my thing is that i want to avoid gel on my entire toe, it damages my nails and i like to switch colors frequently do id like to stick to polish, but need the enhancement for my corners to make the square sharper. Does that make sense? I want to see how it can be done as minimal and natural as possible and shes the best with natural nails! And as it grows out i wouldnt have to use gel and need any refills and all that
@emmicah77207 ай бұрын
@@massasanadiki7044in your case, I'd look to see if a clear rubber base would work. It would allow you to fix the corners and give you that sharp look you like, while also allowing you to switch colors out as desired by either filing the old polish off or using acetone to take it off. You can also do a super thin layer, which would be just enough to give your nail a boost of strength while you build the corner, and would grow out with the nail. You'd probably have to do 1-2 fills until the entire nail is grown evenly out, and then you can remove the entire base and not even have to touch it anymore. She uses rubber base a lot to help strengthen her natural nails, so that's why I suggested it 😊

OK, so I see what some people are talking about the pointer and the pinky here’s the thing when you apply builder gel or any kind of gel to the nail you have to have your fingers flat. Most people are usually talking or moving their fingers when it’s inside of the gel lamp, it’s possible that for her, maybe she tilted her hand upwards or not left her hands flat causing it to cure in the way how she was holding her hand.

I also used to be a nail biter and it actually took me painting them to break the habit. I grabbed one of my mom's old polishes and just went ham. It looked terrible but it got me to stop chewing! Polish on nails not only tastes nasty but also makes them too tough to bite through. Goodluck

Yeah, I know it sucks. I'm 16 and have been nail biting for as long as I've been capable of doing it (having teeth) and I'm lucky because I have mostly broken the habit, sadly I have really bad anxiety and when it's triggered I start biting my nails a bit. Recently I've been able to prevent myself from biting them though so I'm doing okay!
