As someone deeply entrenched in the GTA V community, I've recently taken a dive back into the world of speedrunning, relearning old routes and embracing new strategies. It's been a thrilling journey rediscovering the nuances of the game, especially as I prepare to tackle major categories I haven't touched in years. The nostalgia mixed with the excitement of potentially beating my personal bests fuels my passion for this game even more.
In addition to my speedrunning adventures, I've been pondering the ethical implications of AI-generated voices in gaming. This has been a hot topic in the community, especially with recent developments regarding AI and how it impacts the authenticity of character voices in games like GTA V. I've had to make some tough decisions about the use of AI voices on my streams, striving to balance innovation with respect for the original voice actors.
Furthermore, Rockstar's recent initiative to gather feedback from GTA Online players through surveys and discussions is something that caught my attention. They're offering in-game incentives for participation, which indicates a shift towards valuing player input more directly. This move by Rockstar might change how player feedback is integrated into game development, something I find both commendable and necessary for the evolution of gaming communities.

Man im so hyped for Matt speedruning gta 5 again! When I started attending university in another country, it took me a long time to adjust to the new environment. I constantly felt stressed, experienced some apathy, and overall wanted to quit because I missed the simplicity and clarity of my school life. It was four years ago during that time when I stumbled upon "pacifist%" and from there, all the way to "how the speedrun ended" videos. Since GTA 5 was my first full-fledged video game, and the creator's style and editing were very relaxing, these videos helped me adapt to the new environment. All of this made GTA 5 speedruns feel very familiar and comforting, and I'm incredibly glad that after a bunch of new formats, they're finally making a comeback!

i was there, live, watching his stream when he got that classic% PB back in 2019. It's astonishing that it's been 5 years. I've changed so much as a human being since then, I've gone to and finished college, I've had girlfriends, I've moved out, moved again, I've had multiple jobs, I've gone to therapy and worked on myself mentally, I've built my own desktop and gaming setup, and i've experienced so much of what life has to offer. But goddamnit I'm gonna still be angry whenever Matt gets a really good set of brakeboosts and then an AI runs a red light just to make him crash.

That trillionaire vid was great, man. Totally get the editing on it, you already did this video a couple times and not much happened in it. But the instructions were clear, I got all of them maxed out with tons in the market (only thing you may want to mention, is that you absolutely have to do it with Trevor's vehicle, no other vehicle will work, at least for PC, unmodded). You could do a speed run to get $1 trillion in total assets, stocks and cash. I got Franklin nearly $200 billion before I got bored and moved on haha!

GTA on Steam Deck is definitely very playable. Even managed to get it working on the Rockstar Launcher version. It's still a very enjoyable and playable experience. Even played a bit of Online on the train once.

Have you considered paying the actors on Cameo (If they're on there I don't know for sure) to record some "meme voice lines"? Best of both worlds in my opinion, You get the well known voices for memes, The actors can do a better job of emphasizing certain parts of the line to actually make the line sound better overall and the actual Voice Actors get the work instead of the AI.

Ultimately speedrunning is a young person's game as Matt has said before. I think Matt's biggest strengths now are in scriptwriting and comedy. He understands storytelling structure and editing. I am excited for this, but I hope Matt won't be too sad if he can't perform as he used to
