What that US fan says about respecting that they chose to support Newcastle. Total respect given here. I understand it a bit myself I was born in Durham (east) Sunderland strong hold my grandfathers parente were originally from Newcastle area and my Grandfather was a Newcastle fan while his Kids my Father and his brothers became Sunderland fans due to how much easier it was to get to the sunderland games so basically with modern transport i had the choice and i experienced both clubs my father introduced me first to sunderland but i never fell in love but my 1st trip to st james park was a different story. I dont know why i could list a million valid reasons but i think maybe its just because it was in my blood. But i understand both having the choice and making the choice out of the love for the club
