I love that she just said thank you, knowing she didn't have a use for the gas cards. Trying to manage all those kids and groceries without a car in Rexburg where it snows 6 feet and gets so cold. Such a deserving lady. I honestly don't know how she manages to work 2 jobs. I worked at an assisted living facility and though I loved the residents, it was a very demanding job. God bless her. Thank you Secret Santa and Nate and your helper elves!

I know quite a few people who work in assisted living facilities, they love the residents, they just tolerate the long grueling hours. They say its not so much the residents its the families of them that sometimes make it miserable. The staff at those facilities are amazing people, many of them going to school at the same time they're working, some trying to get their residency, some in school for RN, CNA, etc. They work hard...so do the employees at the hospitals and doctor's offices.

This makes my heart extra happy. I'm very familiar with Baltimore, my roots go back so many generations there, unfortunately I've watched it turn into such a dangerous place. I was born AND raise for most of a my childhood years. I haven't been back there since August 29th, 2017 when I moved to Florida the 1st time, and I haven't set foot in the state of Maryland AT ALL since. Admittedly the city has gotten bad over the years crime-wise. Baltimore is my hometown and I will always love the city where I came from. I'm glad she wanted to go somewhere for a better living situation for herself and her kids. What she got from the Secret Santa was TRULY DESERVING!
