I ran out and made a special trip to my local Home Depot in Maryville, TN. I was sadly disappointed to not find any rare Hoyas or anthuriums. 😟 But, I did find a monster-sized philodendron gloriosum that rang up for $14.88 and a good-sized philodendron billietiae (12” leaves 😍) that rang up for $9.99. I went inside the store and found a display with a medium-sized (6” pots in stone planters) euphorbia lacta ‘variegata’ and a euphorbia horrida hybrid, for $18.98 each. Woohoo! My trip was worthwhile, lol!

I just caved and got myself a philodendron summer glory that I'd been eyeing up for like 2 weeks, though, since it had been there so long that I couldn't resist any longer lol. I want all the alocasia, though, but I must wait until I'm back from college first. For now, I'll just long from afar lmao

Been to 5 home Depots and nothing. I would definitely have bought a sabah. Found some sad looking Rosita that an employee gave me a sad looking piece that fell off one. Found some really good variegated mini lipsticks, black pagada, Hoya Kerri variegated and really pretty manjula at Lowe's though. Some huge rhipsalis baskets at home Depot too

I found that Anthurium at HD in Nashua NH. They had 3, I got one and a Hoya Rosita. The Anthuriums were not as big as the one you got though.

if you can keep peperomia P. turboensis has the same look without the pain, I just keep peps like that in succulent mix. It grows like you would want to brandi to grow if it behaved itself.

That Anthurium you may never know what is it. There are so many hybrids now that they look alike. Only way to know is if you contact the company that produced it or distributed it and they are willing to share the parentage. Or by searching the name on the label you may find some paper or patent if it’s a register hybrid.

Hi! I'm in the suburbs of Washington, DC, so I ran to my Home Depot on Saturday morning before 9 am to see if they had the Anthurium. No luck---but the Hoya wayetii was on sale for $3.98 each, so I bought 3 to plant together in LECA. I also considered buying a Schismatoglottis wallichii "Art Deco Rivera" (Proven Winners) but decided to save my money in hopes I can find the beautiful Anthurium you showed in the next couple of weeks. I love my other, "common" S. wallichii, but I REALLY want an Anthurium to put on the lower shelf of my plant cabinet. (Note: What's up with all these nurseries giving their own names to plants with well-established ones? They are selling Epipremnun/Pothos "Snow Queen" as "Snowy Morning", "Marble" under "Sunrise something-or-other" and Hoya "Rosita" under a name I can't remember right now, but it's not the same everyone else knows (and sells them) under. This makes it very difficult for the buyer, especially ones who are new plant parents.)

@@trewti Adrift! That's it! I kept looking and looking at those Hoya and thinking, "Are you sure you're not Rosita?" Hahahaha. I bought some of the "renamed" pothos because they were truly inexpensive. I will plant them together at the bottom of a tall Dracaena ("corn plant") we have at work. I've seen little children playing with the exposed dirt/soil so I want to cover it...but I'm afraid of using a plant that is more "special" than a common pothos and finding that someone stole the whole thing or took massive amounts of cutting from it. It has happened! (Thank you for the name reminder!)
