He looks old for his age - he's only 38! In Wrinkle in Time, I thought he was in his late 40s. He's had a lot of plastic surgery - he was much more plain/average in Princess Diaries. His plastic surgery made him look amazing, though.

I don't think he genuinely looks old for his age. We're just so unused to seeing people aging naturally in Hollywood. There was a period where he looked to be going really crazy with the botox, though, and (fortunately) stopped messing around with that, so I think that's why he started to look so drastically different from his mid-late 30s. Looks much better now in comparison, in my opinion, since he stopped with all the cosmetic stuff.
