He didn’t. In Japan, it’s normal for parents to sometimes discipline their children. Abuse and discipline are two different things. Mitsuki Bakugo definitely doesn’t and never has abused Bakugou, but she clearly isn’t soft on him. However Todoroki was abused by his father from the age of five, through speech and through physical violence. So this did not happen to Bakugou
