I AM WELL Church Sermon #54 "Last Days Church" (Part 8: "The Rapture") 06/30/2024

Most of the world is aware that the Bible describes an end time event called "The Rapture" where the Christians are called up to meet Jesus in the sky, leaving the unsaved to face the wrath of God. But unfortunately there is some confusion and division among the church as to the exact timing of this event. Does the rapture occur before the 7 year tribulation period, in the middle of the 7 year tribulation period, or at the very last day of the 7 year tribulation period? Does it really even matter when this event occurs? Would it change how we spend our time? If we are here for any portion of the tribulation period should we be preparing? In this teaching, Pastor Jonathan goes through the scriptures in great detail to dispel all false doctrine regarding "The Rapture", once and for all.

Yes Pastor Jonathan, keep preaching! I benefit tremendously from your style of teaching. What the LORD places on your heart and how he guides you. Your vulnerability and transparency also are helpful and encouraging. Helps point me to the armour I need to put on and to stand up and battle!

I'm at 1h27m were you talk about the pre-tri folks who say "God wouldn't call us up at the end, he loves us more than that." Unfortunately, I have heard many respond to me in a similar way. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that idolatry? "the worship of someone or something other than God as though it were God." Because they are creating a false image of God.

@@jeenyemond4992 you could make that argument. I lean towards that they worship the same God but are just misinterpreting scripture and believing lies that are causing them to be confused. They’re taking an aspect which is true of his character, that He is loving, and misapplying it and undervaluing the judgmental, holy, and righteous aspects of His character. So perhaps they’re more ignorant than idolatrous as it relates to their perception of God Almighty. Often times I think many of the pre-trib folks are clearly making other things in the life idols though, comfort, entertainment, etc are often more important that God and His word when it really comes down to it. My two cents 😎
