3 Ideas I would suggest. 1. Mostly for jokes, but the water in a typical Mario Level, being replaced by a sea of dead Marios. Specifically all the Marios that died during the trademark fails. With Mario himself going through a sea of Marios. 2. Luigi wins by doing one thing, but the rest of the cast treat it like it's an end of the world effect. Even Bowser is scared and panicking. 3. Mario stalking Wario finally having enough of Wario's farting. Popping up everywhere Wario goes, constantly saying "Hey stinky." Even if he's not around Wario's mind gets so warped he thinks he's still there.

A coin block gives mario a "Level-UP-Power-up" in the form of the green arrow. As you 'fire' with it, the enemy fly with a little green arrow in a randomly direction away and when you stomp the closest 8 blocks of the ground change their characteristic.
