I was waiting for another "drawing/animating myself into..." video and here it is! I love this series so much, I think it's my favorite. No, actually, I'm SURE it's my favorite, cause I even tried this challenge myself! I recently drew myself into my favorite anime. At first I thought it was going to be obvious that the screenshot is fake... But then I send it to my friend group pretending that I found an anime character that looks like me, AND THEY ALL BELIEVED ME HSHHSHS I had such a good laugh about it. After some time I revealed that I drew this character into the scene, and at first everyone was totally shocked HSHSHS I was laughing like crazy. I'm definitely doing it again soon. Oopsie I wrote a paragraph again. HSHHS Hope you enjoyed the story tho. Just how much I enjoyed the video! The animation looks really good!! The 7 hours of work were totally worth it!! 💜💛💚 I already can't wait for another video 💛💛💛

10:00 I do that so much! I found it easier to just assign the edited frame to where you were going to put the copied frame, then assign the copied frame to where the original was.

I don't think anyone will read this but Ghibli was the reason I started pursuing art and my mom introduced me to watch Totoro for the first time when I was 4. Then my dad showed me your 'how to draw manga in manga studio for begginer' as an 8 year old kid and you became my first inspiration and teacher to draw manga that I even write you 'in 'my idol' assignment!! So seeing both my favourite artist animate herself in my favorite movie brings me joy!!! I recently got a KZbin account after my dad's permission and subscribed to your channel. The main thing that looks off to me is the skin on your face, looking bright compared to the rest but that might just be me. It also still looks a tad crisp, though now I wanna try sending that animated clip to somebody who's not in the know and see if it tricks em

Have you considered filming yourself doing the movement for better reference? That's a thing animators do to help them capture the motion in a more natural way. You should try it out! I think it would be a good help!

While I do love it whenever you include yourselves in cartoons or animes, I do have a critique. How you draw eyes. If you look a bit closely, it looks more like how you make eyes compared to other animes. Not saying that its bad, its unique! But if you want to make some of your art completely like the anime, look at the eyes carefully. Like for this one, your eyes are a bit too big compared to Mei and Satsuki (in my opinion). Your art can also look a bit stiff at times too. Other than that, it looks exactly the same! Everyone still has a lot to learn, so I hope this critique helps you in a way.

When I saw the irl pic, I noticed your hair looks a lil shinier than normal (possibly bcuz lighting). Idk sorry for the weird notice but overal the animations are so cool^^! Edit: All I can say for doing animations, you need a massive amount of motivation, dedication and patient to create beautiful animations. You did really great despite still learning the ways of animations^^! One thing for sure is to know 12 principles of animation, every animators must remember this or it'll heavily affect the quality of animations they want to create..

I think I've seen somewhere that you can make a quick action or whatever they call it in clip studio paint where it's a preset defined action or number of actions that you use constantly and that would probably work well for your blurring so you don't have to do so many steps for each you could just hit the quick key on each frame. Looks fantastic by the way 😸👍🏻 still willing to commission some animation from you if you ever want some extra cash lol you do fantastic work!

Another anime I'd say would be a cool challenge would be dragon ball or dragon ball z. It's not really the type of show I think you'll like, but it has a good amount of scenes to try, it doesnt have to be animated It can be just illustrated but I think it would make a great video

I had no idea Arrietty was a Ghibli movie, but it all makes sense now considering the animation is just stunning, and kinda resembles various screenshots I’ve seen of other Ghibli films! I remember watching it when it was distributed (and most likely dubbed by) Disney! I can’t say for certain if I saw it in theaters, but I DID see in on our cable provider via On Demand. I love that movie, and I think Disney and Ghibli did a great job, but if there is a version that doesn’t have the Mouse attached to the project, (Subbed, Dubbed, or both,) I’m most certainly watching it again!!! The visuals are stunning and I’d love to watch a version that’s 100% all Studio Ghibli!

The animation fits well in terms of style and such, I would consider adding a bit of noise (like static) to your art because the movie is old and you can see a bit of noise over the movie. The only thing that makes it obviously edited in to me is that certain frames are a bit more obviously a transformation of former ones, making it look much more digital. Obviously it'd be way more time consuming to draw every unique frame but that would give it more authenticity.
