Most Minecrafters are sorted into builders or redstone makers. Me? I am here for the thrill of adventure. The world is so vast and I cannot help feeling like an explorer travelling chunks upon chunks to document the landscape. I have maps in frames that span thousands of blocks away from my house. I always go put secret bases in my friends bases. I do it when they’re not there, and put it in the most likely place for them to find it. Usually under their floor, or if they built into a mountain, behind their furnaces. If it’s big enough, I’ll build multiple. I always make them fairly developed, a chest with a decent amount of food, iron, chests and furnaces, bed, etc. I always hope they’ll find it as they expand their base, and be very confused as to who is living in their walls. So far, I know at least 4 have been discovered, and 2 people asked who made the bunkers. Nobody has any clue it’s me. One friend, who has a massive pyramid, had I think 6 scattered around his base, and only found one. One under each corner, under the middle, at the top of the pyramid (he found that one), and I even sealed off an old room that wasn’t used for anything and redecorated into a armory, with multiple anvils, furnaces, raw materials, and even diamonds. It’ll be quite a treat if he finds it, but it’s quite possible he never will.

I often make very diminutive builds for my house like a small cottage and orchard next to a pond... but then I run out of space, so I start digging down. My latest build brought me almost all the way to the new bedrock level, and what was supposed to just be my cellar became an extensive complex I even had to connect with a nether hub. I guess I just can't get enough of underground bases but it's funny how I always start with a modest house on top, like a gas station in the middle of the desert guarding the only elevator to a super secret base.

i personally like the struggle the most, and of course the building. Starting from scratch, and slowly crafting a monstrosity of a home from a humble hole in the wall, to an elaborate cave system that expands upwards into a mountain top of a fully crafted castle/tower. It's what the game was based on to begin with, and all the additions, though fun, aren't the core to the game. Me and and all my 4 friends had an SMP. When we started I always had connection problems, so when I could actually play, I was usually in the mineshaft getting ores. I lost my first diamonds to some cave spiders though... At some early point I decided I was going to make my house a lightly industrialized cave-house, built into the wall of the ravine, just by the mineshaft entrance. During the first October, we decided to have a Halloween party. We were running to each other's houses trick-or-treating, and I had made a few golden apples to give away to my friends. When we got to my cave house, I went inside and readied my gifts for them. Then a nearby creeper went behind them and blew up my front door. One or two people died, and everyone was laughing at the jumpscare. Looking back, I wish I recorded that moment, but my wifi died soon after...

I'm very much a miner, farmer and pet owner when it comes to minecraft. It's reached a point where my pet foxes have their own room on a server and there's multiple axolotl ponds. Sometimes I'll also just go deep underground and just mine. Something about just being underground, mining and listening to the music softly playing in background, that's just.. peaceful but also nostalgic. There's also a slight hint of eeriness behind it. There's a reason I'd describe minecraft as a liminal space when you're playing singleplayer. It's so empty and lonely. Sure there's villagers and mobs but you can't directly talk to them. It's peaceful until the true loneliness sets in. Then you just feel unnerved and paranoid. Were those footsteps from another mob or something else? Ah, it was just a pig. Again. Were there others like you? What's up with the villagers and pillagers? Are they human like you or just humanoid? Who built the temples and the strongholds? Who built the ancient cities? And what's up with the pigmen? There's something extra odd about them. Maybe they used to behave like us, building bastions and fortresses. But now all that's left is just semi-feral creatures, scared of their zombified brethren and kin, and trading gold for various other materials. Why do they desire gold and why are they passive when you wear gold? .. well, there's actually a theory that the pigmen believe gold can prevent zombification. They possibly also believe that the overworld is infected with some virus and are only passive when you wear gold because in their eyes, you're safe and not infected like their zombified brethren.

I love you're art style❤️ the build I was most proud of was a giant underground aquarium. I built it underground to try and get a glowing squid to spawn in it. It took forever but It finally happened. Somehow 2 regular squids spawned in it too and then I filled it full of all the different fish I could find. After everything spawned I lit it with lava flowing through glass encased tunnels in the dorrite walls and floor ( for maximum lightinght) and in hollow glass pillars running through it in key places. The observation room was dorrite with pillars to look as close to Roman as I could with glass ceiling and walls and a fishing hole in the center. It was a massive wast of time and resources as far as my game friends were concerned but it was ( in my opinion) a huge and beautiful sight and a really nice inbase fishing spot with an afk fishing set up to one side of the central indoor underwater pond.

I personally love reviving villages, and just being an all-around generous person to the villagers, to the point where I have made a small little bank that looks like a default villager house but larger and on the inside and maybe in the courtyard or off to the side of the building, there’s a small little stack of emerald blocks to commemorate how much the village is grown. It breaks my heart whenever village is dead by the hands of a Pillager invasion, and I think personally the most satisfying part of resurrecting and being almost a savior or mayor of a village is to see the village on an old map and then place a fresh map in an item frame right next to it, showing how big and how great of a change you have made on a society

This brings me back a little, and I do have a story to share. It was one time when I was playing in Survival and I had a Zombie farm. Keep in mind that I was completing the build, so the farm isn't fully functional yet. Then I thought of removing the torches on the spawner. What could go wrong? I would come to regret that decision later. I actually went back to collecting resources, and I think I went for too long because when I came back into the unfinished Zombie farm, there was a whole horde coming out of a small opening and bomb-rushed me. Then I died soon after. Good times.

I don't play often, but when I do I COMPLETELY nerd out; calculating materials needed, building temporary storage depots with automated transportation, and by the time it comes to actually using these materials I'm done and start again. I'm addicted to the grind...

Fishing is my favorite thing to do in a game. It’s calming, and often times you can get some pretty cool bonus stuff. Minecraft’s fishing mechanic is no different.

I was playing with my friend a couple days ago. I mentioned how I really enjoyed taking care of villagers. Once I even spent an hour building a path for a pair that somehow fell off a mountain and couldn't get back to the village. She then asked if she should push the villager that was in her face into the lava.

I love playing Minecraft with my friends because of the massive difference between how we play. So for context my friends are pretty casual with the game, have never killed the ender dragon (before playing with me) and only went to the end once in creative/have never gone. A few months ago though they got a server and invited me to play. On the first day I went a few thousand blocks in a straight line so i could leave the desert just because I don't like how it looks and they just built at spawn. On the second or third day I hadn't even built a real house yet but I did have enough materials to get on the nether roof and break bedrock and set up a portal system for everyone to get on the roof. A couple days later I had finished my house and made a creeper farm that sends creepers into the nether to collect on my storage system on the nether roof, I had full max enchanted netherite the day after that. For more context at this point my friends were still wearing mostly iron with bits of diamond and a couple diamond tools and were mostly focusing on building/exploring. After supplying them with diamonds I brought everyone to the end, we killed the dragon and went out to find elytra. Only I found elytra because only one other person wanted them and logged off and didn't play for a few days and no one else really knew how good they were and how much fun they were, I honestly think its the best item in the game especially with my gunpowder farm for rockets. Of course a lot more happened in-between and after but the point is that Its almost like we were playing two entirely different games while we were playing in the exact same server together. They were playing a more peaceful building and exploration game and I was playing with a "powergamer" mindset where i just run through tasks and exploit the game in ways they didnt even know existed but we still all had fun playing.

There's something about Minecraft that just when you just randomly remember it exists you get this kick that you want to play it every hour, everyday. But then. You get bored and stop playing for a while and the cycle starts over again. It's one of my favorite games. and no other game will ever replace it.

I have a server with my friends where we just build silly things. There’s a bunch of fun stuff to do, like becoming villager god and upgrading their home, making the Feywild in the mountains, creating a machine that when used either gives you a cool sword or kills you, trolling eachother, etc.

my friends and i all build really cool houses in bioms miles appart and we connected them through the never. one day i wanted to visit a friend, grabbed my elitra and flew through the never when suddenly... lag! i was dropped into the lava sea and lost all my stuff. the reason why i always put my stuff away in an ender chest before entering the nether. if you want to hear about the build i made: i built a marble tower with golden accents on a giant lake in the middle of a flower forest. i was the ruler of these fields and the bees were my subjects. I traded with dye, candles and honey and other materials i found. with a friend i started a church where we praised the sunflower (he build in a mesa biome) and we build a huge cathedral at his place (he was the one i wanted to visit). we made a hidden oase in the middle of a mesa mountain with a gigantic sunfkower and temple and only we knew where it was. it was a great server

I LOVE digging. I start with a small shack, but underground is an elaborate Labyrinthian of tunnels left right up down all the directions, loops, dead ends, chests full of materials all organized in a single hallway that I just expand when I need more room. I remember I gave my friend 36 shulker boxes of Cobble Stone because they wanted a castle and I needed more space in my storages. A good way to think of my bases is the ending of portal 2, a little hut in the middle of nowhere but underground is a massive facility. I also make it a point to have a Manhattan project on the side, if anyone dares to touch my facility, I'll erase theirs from existence...

I play on this Minecraft Server, where you can buy heads, and there was this Monster Plant, which looked like an Eye with a mouth instead of a cornea, so I bought it along with some bee heads and a ghost head, I would switch between them depending on what my interaction with a person is. If they mess up, I put on the Monster Head and chase them. Works 10% of the time

Every time I play Minecraft, I play very late into the night. No matter the day, time, or place, I go and go. It's been my favorite game and has stuck with me for a while, so starting up a new world, getting to where nothing can kill me and I rule the land while living in a nice, handbuilt home is just, fun. It brings me a lot of nostalgia, and a lot of happiness, from being able to enjoy the golden days of Minecraft... I'm still young, and got a lot left to live, but every moment counts... So why not make it the best life it can be?

My favorite thing, is going back to my very first world, in a map named either “Hollyvale” or “Hollydale” that world was from 8 years ago, and still has the old music, it makes me feel so nostalgic looking at my old plain square builds and my old pets, and it makes me cry everytime. I don’t have the heart to place a single new block on that terrain, just look.
