Just finished watching your devlogs and saw how much change and the improvements from your 1st one, from it running more smoother and the gameplay looking so wacky, really gives the arcade shooter vibes, especially the Tron/Titanfall/Halo/Iron man vibes. For weapons are you gonna do like a Halo infinite thing where every weapon has a role/special function, which would be a great way to put that BFG idea or different types of damage from splash, fire, poison, ice, electricity, or just explosive. Another question is that I see a sword and wonder if they will be sword fighting like in halo, which would really spice the game play, like ninjas moving super fast parrying each others blows and one mistep leads to being one shot or a satisfying assassination. I wonder if you put lore in your game, like a mesh of Tron and Halo simulation battles for training purposes or guilds waging war in cyberspace. I can't wait for the next devlog and see the progress. Also, I hope you guys don't overwork yourselves out or feel a lot of pressure in trying to deliver amazing games. You all need to take care of your health. Hope you all the very best.

It's definitely getting better with every version! - I don't want to limit the sandbox like Infinite has. I also plan on having weapon variants like Halo 5, so that should add a bunch to the sandbox - There are different damage types, but we haven't explored them as much. Mostly focusing on the base gameplay/weapons/sandbox, and then will be adding the more wacky and unique stuff - There is sword parrying! It works great, but above a certain ping, it becomes unfair. Trying to think about the best way to hopefully solve that, but have yet to come up with anything - There is some story bits, mainly within the multiplayer maps themselves. We do want to do a campaign, and are slowly building a universe, but there's a very small group of people that are involved in that - Appreciate the questions and enthusiasm!

I've talked to a software QA guy about open betas and whatnot before, and one of the things he said that stuck out to me was, "You rarely, if ever, get a second first impression, you've got to make sure that all of the major features that are planned are implemented, and most of the major bugs fixed, otherwise your customer may have an experience that is unintended, and that will set their expectation for the future". That being said, I think it would be a good idea to get a campaign into the game by the time of the full release. It should help teach players how all of the guns work, the movement, power ups, etc.. Also, from the perspective of the average Steam customer, they're probably used to seeing that a campaign will be added, only for it to never happen for one reason or another, so I think showing rather than promising would be a better approach, even if it takes longer. Of course, it's not my game. You know your game better than I do, but that is my stance on the campaign mode.

If the gameplay was fully fleshed out I wouldn't even care if the final style was just this lmao Anyway, it looks fun, the movement seems good too, which makes sense given the inspirations. It looks like it could use one or two more movement options though. Maybe sliding/jumping off of walls? The speed of the game doesn't look so fast that it would be annoying to shoot people doing that, but maybe my experience with other shooters is why that sounds like a good fit to me. I love shooting while sliding and I love the option to wall jump, the floatier jumps would make it pretty interesting, maybe consider it? I'd like to play regardless. I may hop into the discord at some point

There actually is sliding! There's not a lot of first person feedback, so it'd hard to tell in videos, but it's there! Adding something like wall kicking, jumping off walls, wallrunning, etc, is that the maps would have to be completely redesigned to fit that new mechanic. The gameplay is mostly fleshed out. There's a few changes that have to be made to stop some rubberbanding and lagging, but other than that the gameplay is pretty much done

The original idea was "T" for teen, but now I'm thinking "M" for mature, because I want blood effects and whatnot

Steam servers for what? I know you have to pay $100 to put a game on steam, so they may use that to host servers, but I'm not quite sure.

@@capnc4ke I did some more looking and googling and apparently there is something called the steam works that gives you the ability to have multiplayer, hosting, finding games. But if you want dedicated servers there is an additional cost along with anti cheat and other features. Also apparently there is an integration system for the steam works in unreal engine
