@@haseebahmed2769 True, I represent this generation too. My basic argument is this. In 1972 Constitution, one of the four pillars was Democracy. However, religious parties and religious politics was banned at the same time. This was not considered inconsistent since the issue of our liberation was already decided in a war. Therefore, any views that are inconsistent with the spirit of our liberation are not part of democracy and should not be given any space. This will be true even if 99% of the people believe in Taliban, Islamic government. That view has no moral legitimacy in light of our liberation war, something which we have already been decided on 16 December 1971. So it should not be given political space.

@@sheehan92 Agreed. I resolve this issue using a pecking order such as Bengalee Nationalism, Secularism, Democracy, and Socialism. The higher-ordered principle should dominate the lower-ordered one in case of any conflict.

These are self contradictory persons who are anti-islamic and awami politicized. The constitution's secularity does not affect individual code of conduct or following their religions. It does not say that you don't listen to the order of Allah. Should we think that our Constitution disown Islam by provision of secularity when Bangabandhu said we are Bangali having their own faith unaffected. We start saying Bismillah which means we repose faith in Allah. Constitution never disowns its 90% Muslim citizens. These talkers appear to throw out the Muslims out Bangladesh and live with 10% population. A Muslim will not remain Muslim if he is asked to call people of the country as the owners of everything of the country for Allah is the all powerful and owner of each and everything. So, matters must be thought out in appropriate perspective. All people of the country are citizens and they must be treated equally and good governance is ensured.
