I asked bass players and musicians all over the world to send me recordings in E minor at 120 bpm. I watched 300 videos, and used them to create a song to unite us.

Special thanks to Zachary Brunetti, AhLun, Flooft_TK, Colin Heberling and all my other Patrons!
I did a lot of audio and video editing - if something seems odd with someone's video, it's probably my fault 😂 I also added some of my own bass, beats and synth but overall the music is 95% YOU!
Thanks so much for the support! See you in the next video!

The more I watch this, the more I realise how clever this was, to make disparate pieces of music into a coherent and touching whole. Not only is Charles a superb musician, he is a very talented producer, engineer and arranger. But even with those skills, this must have taken a long time to complete, Worth it though. Very moving.

Erno Sallinen you are correct. In general, instruments of a similar ilk are referred to as “EWI’s” (pronounced ee-weez) meaning Electronic Wind Instrument. I think they’re a real treat, providing skilled humans the ability to modulate virtual instruments and other synth hardware. Instead of turning a knob, they alter their pressure, etc. very very cool stuff

It says a lot for the respect you get as a musician, Charles, that these phenomenal artists that don't even play bass follow and interact with you. At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old fart - The internet started to become a normal household thing right around the time I turned 30 - It's just mind-blowing, seeing it from both sides of time, what the technology and accessibility has done for (and to, in some cases) music and the people that make it. "Back in the day" it was so hard and so expensive to get access to the things and people that one needed, that are now all right there on one's desk, laptop, or phone - it's just amazing to see that potential realized in works such as this. Outstanding!

Um That was beautiful. Moving even - an unexpected blending of everyone. im not sure if I found the actual music as beautiful as the cooperation and complementation you all gave to each other - it was not a competition at all.....and everyone genuinly wanted to make everyone else sound even better.

I just love how much effort your put into this video and that you wanted to get people around the world together in this very moment. I sort of a bit overemotional and felt touched watching this video of a big group of people playing music together, it just reminds me that the power of music and the beautiful romance of loving music. Thank you for making this video. And a side note I am so so so glad that I discovered you via Davie's video and just love how much of a talented musicians you are and the passions you have in your videos and bass. Keep up the very very good work. - blessing from Hong Kong
