CHIRP does work, go to help, then "load module from issue" then type 10692. Now you can read and write to to the KG Q10H. And you can expand the frequency with CHIRP.

I wish they made a quad antenna for it. DX Engineering makes a quad but it uses 23cm instead of 1.25M, the other 3 are there but gee.

I saw a k6 call with the same kind of issues... k6sdy or something close. It's really unfortunate that they're quality. Control is going down because they have a lot of promise with good radios

@@HAMRADIODUDE they sent one for free. I have a "G" and 2 "H's". None will work with the mic they sent or a known working mic that I already have. I've emailed them. Oh and for the record I had much faith that HRD would be the 1st to reply! I've sent the same message to the other KZbinrs that have done reviews. Let's see what happens. I aske BTWR to send me 3 "H's" only because you are so cool and gave me the key to the crackers!

@@HAMRADIODUDE In all seriousness I hate that ornate font used on so many cheap Chinese electronics. I believe it is a version of Arabic. I don’t know if you know what I’m talking about but it’s that the small fonts have “tails” and “scrolls”. I prefer just simple block fonts. I probably would have bought this radio already if it weren’t for that. So tell me… in the display “themes” this radio supposedly allows you to modify, is font type a choice? Thanks for your channel as always. Ps: had to edit this twice because of AI autocorrect
