I think one of the lessons here is to mix up your income streams. So tournament earnings + having a youtube channel + streaming + sponsorships + having a product to sell + affiliates and then just hyper focus on the two or three that are just overwhelmingly are the highest earners. A lot of these guys (and gals) will get the most consistent income from steaming + ad revenue building a channel. If any of those top players with a lot of followers create a course or something on how to do this full-time they may eclipse any game earnings. I made almost one million last year by doing courses (not on gaming though but I wish it was!) lol. Great video as always @JordanWelch

I know a lot of friends who tried to become professional gamers (they went all in on gaming and skipped school). Out of all of these guys (probably 30+) I know one guy who actually managed to do something out of it. He is signed to a mid level professional team and makes about 50k from his org, he doesn't stream that much but could probably make more if he really wanted. The rest of them made no or very small amount of money, so they doesn't really have anything. A lot of them invested their teenage years into gaming, have no social life, no education and no real motivation for anything, a few of them even depressed. So becoming a pro gamer is not easy, and it's a very risky way, you need talent and a lot of dedication. Unfortunately most people won't make it at all, and the chance of making as much money as the guys in this video, is incredibly small.

True. But contracts, sponsorships is heavy toll. You’re a public figure that represent brands. You gotta stay relevant without hurting your image and majority of the time to get the numbers for certain sponsors will be easier being negative than it would be in a positive note. Everyone making new clips, KZbin creators, like you’re competing in entertainment and theirs countless niche, doing the same thing. I’m not even going to touch on the connections cause that within itself everyone knows about favoritism and whatnot but the point being that fame comes with a cost. It be the ones who are closes to you that can bring you down worst. That’s why theses people hang out with other celebs or people on the same stature. They have something to lose. You have a regular joe he has everything to gain from a public figure slipping up, or something taken out of context. But gaming scene wise even with the N words, and probably much more their fan base always rock with them. Well core Atleast.
@StupidBadITCH2 жыл бұрын
@@extremedaemon they just gotta up the pay. Fast money is the new wave. Older folks mindset is working 80 hours a week until you’re 50 to retire and enjoy life at a physically late and “damaging” age as I would call it(body starts decomposing. Not really but like body pains, run and jump active wise. Now you’d say “just work out, that only goes so far. Age catches up to us all) just to do at an older age of what theses people get to do either right after highschool or in their prime. Traveling while older is cool but imo you’d mainly meet younger people if you do travel. Not that they would see the age to be a hinder in a friendship but it comes mainly down to things in common. Older mind and young mind just think differently. You can’t spend the night drinking just to wake up 5 hours later, slam 3 shots of tequila, eat at Waffle House, and then go to a concert at 50

I was considering going pro in Fortnite actually but I realized I was the biggest nerd in my friend group. I always put 100% into anything I do so I was frustrated that they didnt see it the same way as I did. After they stopped playing, the game was no fun anymore. I later realized that gaming was probably not what I wanted to make out of my life anyways. I am pursuing entrepeneurship and a solid education in molecular biology and a dash of programming. Getting rich and successful is often a lonesome road. People will tell you that you wont make it until you prove them wrong. Most people are just too afraid to take a leap of faith. Be willing to go broke when you have little to loose. You are likely to fail many times but one of those times you will hit it big. And dont buy into get rich quick schemes. There is no such thing. It takes time and dedication to get good at something. And even if you dont succeed at first, it is still valuable experience. I tried getting rich on poker. Took me 4 years until I gave up. It was okay money but the competition is really though and it is a lot more work thsn you would imagine. I then learned day trading by reading 100s of pages. It went okay but I didnt have enough money to make much. I invested in crypto. That was my first decent success. I made over a 100x on my money. It has since crashed quite a lot but I am ready for the next bull run. Then I started learning video editing, affiliate marketing, ecom, reading tons of books on various topics, taking up university. All those skills adds up. It makes you flexible and creative. I play some games for fun nowadays. I run a few small businesses. I can feel the pressure building up so to speak. I am ready to conquer the world.
