I completely agree, I hover around C1-C2 myself and my mechanics are completely shit, I think that a lot of pros/KZbinrs that do these guess the rank challenges put waaaaay too much weight on really flashy mechanics.

I'm pretty bad mechanically but in focusing a lot on improving them lately. The consistent thing I find annoying about the higher ranked KZbinrs is they put people against each other in 1v1 but a lot of lower ranks don't do much 1s because they haven't got the skillset to do everything themselves, they need a teammate to work with I'm not saying they're wrong, im just saying that 1s is not the best platform to gauge individual players at lower ranks

I’d like to point out the only objective judgement was Wayton’s first impression that the one guy was SSL. After that, y’all tried to game the system by guessing lower because you knew they thought they should be higher.

This is actually a really good idea and kind of a creative spin on guess the ranks. Maybe you can make it more winnable by having to pay half of the prize if you guess 3 ranks lower, otherwise you might be unconsciously biased to guess under the rank.

Lol it's also kinda hard to determine someone's actual rank just on a single day consistency cause anything can make someones mechanics one day be a whole elo below and sometimes days they're just playing way beyond where they're at, like I'm a diamond 2 and I can usually keep up with gcs even though I'm not exactly mechanically inclined, so I'm not saying I'd be higher ranked, just there's always someone who's gonna be better than you which is where you either overcome them or your just gonna drop.

From personal experience, I believe playing with lower ranked teammates is a skill in itself and some players are not used to it. That combined with nerves could've negatively affected the players. But, how else could striped and wayton tested game sense more accurately without giving themselves an advantage? The only thing I could think of would be a quiz but everyone has different playstyles. Thoughts?

Playing with lower ranks definitely messes with my brain too, but more so the other team than my own teammates is what fucks me over. For example my positioning will get completely thrown off when the opposing players miss easy to touch free balls, because the opponents I'm used to don't make those mistakes.

Videos like this leave me feeling dissatisfied because no one really won anything. Sure it's a cool experience for the players, and it's easy to mess up a guess on these guys rank, especially because Nowa clearly didn't try in the 3s match. Anyways my suggestion would be to give them all a gifted sub to your channels, or a creator they enjoy watching. It'd be nice to not sit around hoping someone will win, just for all not to get anything. I've felt this way before from your videos, and sometimes it keeps me from clicking on them, even though they're so well put together.

@@ducos1501 been a while since I've watched this video. From what I remember it was a easy way to save $100 by guessing a low rank, just in case they might be higher. You know what I mean? Also the guy was on a streak of videos that were "if this guy does this they win $100" and no one would win. Its crazy how mid rank I am to the point where i had rough idea of the ranks of everyone. Im currently champ 2-3 and it was easy to tell difference between mid diamond, mid champ, mid GC and high GC trying for SSL. Diamond was easy as im a diamond mehcanics with great game sense. Champ is my rank and I see wide range of mechs and sense so champ was standing out to me. Mid GC was solid in game and almost perfect in training drill and GC 3 was perfect in training and mechs, but lacked game sense which SS need to be at top

KZbinrs sense of judging ranks is way off, for whatever reason they all seem to think golds r way better thsn they actually r, I'm currently Plat 3-diamond 1 and pretty much almost all golds whiff 80% of things they need to do anything but drive to hit... plats still whiff a lot as well, but maybe more around 50%, I'm getting multiple teammates that will actually whiff 80% of any shots that require any form of predicting. Not to mention the fact that most plats still can't do any form of fast aerial, I have noticed that is 1 of the biggest differences between Plat 1 and Plat 3
