Ever wonder how the Gilmore Girls did it? How did they eat like a Gilmore? I was wondering that too, so I decided to try to eat like them, and here's how it went!

I agree! They seem to always have leftovers in their fridge! Especially pizza! I know if I tried to eat that much I for sure would have lots left over!! Except the coffee lol! That I would drink all of!

@J N Yeah agreed. I also think my stomach would hurt so much if I ate as much junk food as they do! Also agreed, I thought that was really mean and honestly out of character for the girls to just start making fun of pat at the pool. I didn't like that scene in general and especially that part was so uncalled for and rude in my opinion!

@J N I totally agree with Richard and Luke being a 5 and a 6. I see both characteristics of a 5 and a 1 in Rory for sure. Rory to me feels more of a 5 through the seasons all combined. I think she feels more of a 1 with the black and white right and wrong in season one and two. I think she is a very social 5 for sure, but 5s in health lean more towards a self-confident and decisive 8 and then in stress shows the unhealthy hyperactive and scattered side of a 7 which feels very true to Rory's character. Which do you see more in her?

Hi, just found your channel today and love, love, love your GG videos! A few years ago, I did an "Eat like a Gilmore" day with three friends. We shopped for all our supplies that day and bought coffee pods, chips, candy, pop tarts, more candy, still more candy and what we'd need for dinner (Chinese beef with veggies and noodles). We snacked on the pop tarts and candy during the day and by the time we did eat dinner, I felt sick! I don't think iced coffee was a thing when the show first aired and it doesn't really seem like a CT thing either. I've always loved iced coffee though.

Some lunch ideas from the gg: Sookie makes them kebabs when Rory and Lorelai are reunited. Lorelai has Lunchables (I am from Eu so have no idea what that is) with Christopher and Gigi in the park. Also pork chops in salt water solition that Lorelai tells Cristopher about (that Sookie makes). Other than that lunch is pretty "Normal Mailer" lol and Sookie hating on him for only ordering iced tea:) sorry I am a GG fan and I've seen all seasons so so many times. I just found your chanel and I am excited! Also they didn't drink iced coffee. Loreali drank the moccachino with a caramel swirl from westons but only when she wasn't with Luke. love it!! lunchables are really like kids charcuterie, but like 0 quality lol. They totally are Normal Mailer, like where is lunch!! and absolutely!! My husband is GF so it's been a learning curve for me, but honestly I tend to feel better physically when im GF too!

Hmmm I’ve never thought that, mainly because of how much they walk! I know having worked in hotels you get 15-20k steps a day and if they’re doing that plus walking to Luke’s and town meetings and all of that. I think that would be part of the reason they stay skinny, but idk for sure the exact reason.

They’re both really healthy eaters in real life. Lauren Graham has thyroid issues and has been on strict dietary restrictions since she was young. I think her diet on the show was to depict how she never really matured or was stunted since giving birth young b/c as an adult you eat food that nourishes you and as child you eat pop tarts and pizza so their relationship was more sibling like than mother/daughter.

But Moral of the story to make it more pleasurable (for me) 😅 try to buy all the food and only eat like this for a cozy day to relax. I also would be feeling like you after the movie dinner 🎥 🍽 .Also we can treat ourselves with fancy old restaurant dinner and that would be "Emily's friday night dinner/parties 😅. Or to a town fair, 🎪 date, or picnic. That way we can tone down the unhealthy without cheating 😂 but still enjoy popcorn or cotton candy 🍬 😉

Yeah they would have had to work out a bunch more than they did! But also I will say, having working in hospitality, Lorelai would have been walking at least 10k steps a day which is actually really good! So I do think that's kinda part of it, my main thing is also idk how they didn't get sick like all the time from eating so much sugar and carbs! Too much!

They eat them at lukes too! They make a reference to it, after luke and lorelai get into a fight that it's "Danish day" and how rory doesn't want to be in the middle she just wants to eat her danishes. I wanna say season 2, but could also be season 1 :)

Thanks!! I used a dutch oven and oil and deep fried the chicken pieces, and then added them to a sauce mixture. I googled it for the recipe. Takes about an hour but so good!! I used the recipe from tasty I think is the website!

The food is a lot like scenery in that show. The characters have a lot of crap food served to them, but they are never seen eating it. Eating like a Gilmore girl would mean having a lot of food served to you, but it is ambiguous if you ever eat anything. Rory drinks a lot of tea or coca-cola that stars as coffee. They also have a lot of dinner with Richard and Emily.
