Get that bread dude you put your body through so much so hope to see more sponsors realize what a great opportunity it is working with you. Ps I feel like you should do a Chipotle video next since it recently has trended for giving out smaller portions and so documenting that aspect would be nice to see. Chipotle has a secret menu too and the variety should make for a fun video where you aren't forced to give birth on the toilet after not going for days.

running burns way more calories than lifting and who wants to spend all their time in a dark depressing gym
@miskee115 ай бұрын
@@luminisant the comparison was between walking and going to the gym, but even when comparing lifting to running, the answer isn't as clear-cut as this. I'll just list some pros and cons from both lifting and running here so you can see a simplistic way of thinking regarding this matter cannot yield any worthwhile insights. running: + slightly better for cardiovascular and pulmonary health + burns more calories during the activity itself + low barrier to entry (basically anyone not very overweight can instantly start getting into it) + builds endurance/stamina - repetitive (psychologically boring, but also likely to cause overuse issues in the knees/ankles/hips) - does not build any muscle mass - only 2 reliable progression methods: run faster or run further (controlling the gradient can only be done in a gym, and adding weights to make running more challenging is almost always a bad idea) - high impact sport - overweight and obese people are highly likely to experience joint pain and injuries - poor carryover to other athletic abilities (only increases overall stamina/conditioning and has marginal benefits to balance) - ability to train depends on weather (even if you run in a blizzard, your results are going to be affected by weather conditions you cannot control, and thus you can't use any of that data to determine if you've made actual progress) lifting weights: + builds muscle mass and muscle endurance in the most effective way possible (additional muscle mass helps burn more calories passively, thus making lifting the better long term choice for weight loss) + extremely diverse (there are a billion different lifts to progress in) + low impact sport (good for joints and tendons, especially when approached sensibly) + burns more calories over time due to added muscle mass (typically a year of training will yield enough muscle mass to burn approximately 120-140 kcal/day AT REST) + tons of progression methods (weights, reps, sets, techniques, bar speed, accessory exercises etc. guaranteeing your progress will continue for a VERY long time) + perfect for overweight and obese people (lift, sit, lift, sit) -- arguably only swimming is superior for fatties as it puts 0 weight on joints, but since it doesn't build muscle it's not ideal in the long term either + teaches you much more (plate mathematics, social skills, unlocks actual new abilities like pull-ups/pistol squats) + high carryover to all sorts of athletic activities (throwing, tackling, martial arts, carrying etc.) + can train in any weather and at any time of day - might need to buy a membership (not really though, because body weight exercises achieve the same results) im not gonna say a "dark depressing gym" is a minus, because there are no such gyms. that's just an image you've sculpted for yourself to support your own narrative. gyms are highly welcoming environments and you can find one that suits you: there are powerlifting gyms, strongman gyms, olympic weightlifting gyms, crossfit gyms, general health/fitness gyms and so on. but in the end im just gonna tl;dr it for u: lifting is better because it builds quality body mass and makes you a more capable human being.
