Wasabi is to sushi as horseradish is to roast beef. Quite simply, wasabi is Japanese 'horseradish' which is produced from the grated root of the plant, in the same way as horseradish is produced.

If you have time, you should go to Sushiro or Kura Sushi, they're also conveyer belt sushi places and you can order off a tablet (they have an English setting on it). I like wasabi but I'm careful to just put a tiny little bit on it. :) And Donki/Don Quiijote is such whirlwind for sure, I kind of wish we had them here in my country! I don't know if you're flying out with Haneda or Narita, but Haneda has a mini-Donki if you need any last minute supplies, and there's also a 7-11 inside the actual airport if you need to use up any leftover yen. I'm kind of jealous you got to have sushi for the first time!

OMG what a Mega! I used to have tamagotchi too 😆And wound love all those pokemon stuff too. Sushi - I'm not a big fan, but it goes. So different still here in Finland and those authentic you got there. wasabi is horseradishpaste, I think it tastes like super strong mustard. Here people dip the sushi in soysauce and also have some pickled ginger as a side dish. Pokemon center 🤩 I have played Pokemon go since 2016 and little bit those earlier games (red, blue) with nintendo gameboy too. I’m so glad that you tried sushi. I remember you saying in several videos that you didn’t like it. And Japan was definitely the place to try it. And of course if a beautiful Japanese woman told you a good spot you had to try it. 😂 you should’ve asked her to go with you. 😉 And I cannot eat sushi without wasabi, but I just put like a little pea size amount on each piece. But I’ve also heard that our American wasabi is very mild considered to the wasabi in Japan. and you shouldn’t be embarrassed about going to Pokémon Center, you’re in Japan. I know a lot of grown men that still play Pokémon go lol and a switch would be nice when you’re traveling though you could play it then like when you’re on the plane or on a train or something like that I was playing the Suika game that was really popular last year that was on the switch in America they called it the watermelon game. because Suika is Japanese for watermelon. It’s kind of like Tetris. I was addicted to it for a little bit. 😂 also, next time you’re in Shibuya, you should go to the Lost bar, it is British Expat KZbinr Chris Broad bar he just opened it. it has a secret door you have to goThur. It looks like the gashpon machines.

@ oh I forgot to put it in my first post, but when you were talking about the wasabi I was laughing so hard. Because when I’ve eaten too much, I have that feeling like my God what did I do to myself!!! but if you ever have a cold. It’ll clear your sinuses right up. if you get the switch, I definitely recommend getting the OLED. The picture quality is so much better.

I’m from Japan. I never lined in Tokyo. But, i visited Tokyo a lot. I think one negative thing I heard often about Takeshita-douri was a few guys from Africa try to sell fake high brand items. They could be super pushy. Other than that, it’s a fairly safe place that is famous for shopping. The area is teenagers’ favorite place to visit and hang out. Akihabara is just a little nerdy. It’s weird with maid cafe girls around on the street, though. Infamous place in Tokyo for some shady businesses is Kabuki-cho. You just have to be careful.
