Yo Austin... remember the greasing the grove technique? One thing I did to bring my weighted Pullup from 80 lbs to 135 plz in 3 months was I greased with my 6 rep max, and at the end of every week it went up to 7-9 reps and then my one rep max was about 5 lbs higher every week, and that was consistent over those 3 months. Maybe think about trying that out. Love the vids bro keep it up! Cant wait to see ur name on that record

The official WR is 120kg by MathzwZalt (which in my opinion wasn’t rep because of the Kipping). But the most clean and heavy rep in pull up that I have ever seen was 115kg by Ludo adamantium (the king of pull ups) which executed the rep without Kipping and with the chin clearly over the bar (with a little bit of deadstop). For all of those who say that smaev is the strongest and that I am wrong just know that all of his reps aren’t valid because of the Kipping… He is clearly strong, but not the strongest in my opinion. Strong does not mean just pulling with the most weight and not giving a damn about the form but executing the rep that is th closest to perfection in terms of form and power
@tomatoma4945
@tomatoma4945 2 жыл бұрын
is not rules just that chin should be above bar? thats the only rule i know exists.
@Nassim-sn4ny
@Nassim-sn4ny 2 жыл бұрын
It’s actually a lot harder than you think. In order to be valid, the rules are very strict. Here are the most important: 1) chin must be OVER the bar. 2) your elbows need to be lockout (at the start of the rep). 3) legs need be completely straight (NO KIPPING, not even a slight bend on the knees). 4) the rep must be done in a fluid way (which means that when you pull up, you cannot wait or stop in the middle and go back Down then pull again. The pulling movements must be done explosively in order to get the chin over the bar directly without the grind). Sorry if I did some mistakes, English isn’t’ fluent 😅.

Yo Austin, you really need to make a video how you are programming your weighted pull up training. No information out there on how to program weighted pulls for intermediate and advanced lifters. Do it bro 🙏🏼

Treat it like any other movement, whether it’s 3x5, 5x5, whatever. Add 5-10 pounds to the belt whenever you hit your rep goal and repeat.

I am sorry to break it for you Austin but there is a guy named Andrey Smaev that does insanely heavy pull ups. And he is chin ups are even more insane. He has videos of him doing 150+ kg chin ups at Adam's Raw channel. Still, a very impressive weight, considerating you didn't train specifially for it! Also at least in Europe there are plently of Street lifting competions, there should be in USA too. Would be awesome to see you competing in one!

That is very impressive. How come you grip the bar more in your fingers rather than palm? I find that getting the bar as deep/low as possible helps a ton (sort of like gymnasts do with rings).

If you guys want to see an actual alien watch "The God of the Bar - Andrey Smaev" I know we are talking about weighted pull ups and not chin ups but still, I think his pull up record is like 110kg. great video i'm looking forward to see you break the record!
