honestly the food quality is not that bad. I have not seen any mold, insects, hair, and dirty utensils (this is probably because they have plastic utensils now). I'll make a food review about the food here at stonybrook! But overall don't worry about the food quality here. Most people here worry about the fact that the dining hall food are repetitive and don't taste as good anymore. Stony is also very aware that their food can get a little bland sometimes, so this semester they are really upping the notch a little. We had really good smoked steak a few weeks ago, and honestly, that steak was better than a majority of the steaks I've eaten at restaurants.

Here’s a big tip, I’m a freshman now here but pick Mendelson, your ugc doesn’t matter it determines your housing. Irving college has the best building living conditions, location, and a very social place! Do your research

I've visited there and I doubt the food is THAT bad. Obviously it's not going to win any awards or anything, but I went to the East dining hall (the one with the Colombian and Jamaican places) and although it's commonly deemed mediocre, it was actually quite good.
