Hello! In this video I show all the preparation for the trip and then my vlog of the 4 days and 3 nights spent in the canyon. What a beauty!

I'm grateful that I cam across a video of someone who took their time on this trip. Everyone else I've seen has done this whole trip in one day & that feels like too much for me to attempt, so I'm interested in doing it over 2-3 days. Thank you for sharing your experience!!

3 days would be awesome. It's still a challenge, but you can take the time to appreciate the journey. Thanks for watching ✌️

Nice video. I love the Canyon. I helped rebuild the Havasupai campground many years ago.

Very cool, I think next time I visit I'll try to stay at Havasupai for a night.

That was a fun video, Julie. I'm glad for you that you made the trek and glad for me that you posted the video. Kind of made me miss AZ though. I'm an AZ boy transplanted to the mid-west and you just don't see sights or colors like that here. Thanks again and good luck with the channel. I'm off now to see what other videos you have.

Thanks for watching. I have been growing to love AZ, too. I'm excited to keep sharing. Definitely have some fun videos planned for the new year.

how did you secure your backcountry permit and camping sites? did you have to make reservation far ahead?
@jul.wanders Жыл бұрын
I got my permit by going into the backcountry office the day before I wanted to hike. I was open to waiting if they didn't have the availability right away. It works on a lottery starting right when the office opens at 8am and there are options to apply in advance but if you allow a little flexibility in your trip - just go to the office in the morning and they'll get you set up to be on the trail either same day or within a couple days. There is a higher demand in the summer months!

Nice! Very entertaining… scale of 1 to ten… how tough were the miles? Great video

Good question, I would say they were about a 7 - for me, with a big pack. But I think if you trained descending more than me it would be a lot easier. Using Trekking poles were a huge help!
