I BARELY Survived 100 Days Of HARDCORE Outward

KZbin is saturated with 100 day hardcore challenges, but none of them are for Outward? I quickly realized why that is... Outward is an open world RPG survival/fantasy game. Hardcore mode in Outward has a 20% chance to delete your save file every time you die. You may ask yourself why someone would subject themselves to such pain and suffering. I always thought Outward never got the recognition it deserved. Maybe by the end of the video I'll have convinced you to try it yourself!

Fire Sigil with spark is far stronger than the flame thrower ability. You don't have to stay on there, just only when you cast spells. I highly recommend using fire sigil for boss like monsters and a few of the fire stones will let you clear an entire keep with little worries.

flamethrower is a spell cuz it also works with ALL left hand light sources… lantern of souls? Yup. Virgin lanterns from Sorobor? Yup. Even the ice flame torch and the coil lantern. And all of these cause the appropriate debuff for each element. Flamethrower might actually be one of the most versatile spells in the game, since you can blend it with any elemental build.

Unfortunately for me I lost access to Outward on Xbox recently due to my Xbox account being hacked by my ex gf (changed my passwords for my email and Xbox account) so I lost all my games but Outward was my go to game. I played it more than any other game I owned. (Well not more than PSO2:NGS lol but that’s a addiction we won’t talk about) Anyway trying to buy Outwards on my new Xbox account but life is hitting me with the “fight back” meme. Wish I could get Outward again ASAP but no need to rush it. I’ll get it back in time Priorities first you know? Anyway this post was mostly a vent because I’m hurt about it. Gaming is 1 of my 3 ways to escape the BS of life and so to lose my account that I had since 360 days is a bit of a low blow. Guess my ex got the last laugh lol. Fire Sigil and Air sigil stack so if you place both on the floor at the same time and cast spark you get both effects of the spells which just nukes anyone dumb enough to walk at you and you could've done volatic hatchery without as much prep.

In this game, you can just go to the mission locations, do the things, then go back to the mission person who gives you the mission. You dont need to waste all this time, you can do all the game'scontent in like 2 to 3 hours

Surprised you didn't do the horror weapon crafting when you first reached Berg. You can easily make 5 horror weapons before reaching Levant..that's 4500 silver.

Just gonna admit it: This game's too hard for me. I tried it for around *checks Steam* 12 hours and then quit because I kept getting murdered. I've been playing games since 1988 and this is one of the hardest games I've ever tried and that's including Dark Souls III, which I also struggle with like you would not believe. I guess I'm just too much of a "casual" as the kids say.

I love watching Outward videos, but I can't bring myself to play it. It's too hardcore for me. I am a dark souls veteran, but the fact that I cannot get anywhere fast enough, because I have to walk is a big dealbreaker for me. The game itself looks very cool, has many gear and magic, but I just can't see myself playing it, because I got my own business to run... Maybe one day i'll decide that i try Outward...

The Guardian of the Compass is one of those sleeper bosses that's legitimately one of the hardest fights in the whole game (especially the base game). Its low-key, unceremonious presence combined with the other mobs will end a hardcore run real fast if you don't know what you're walking into. Outward was seriously one of the most underrated games to come out in a long time. You should check out the DLC and some of the mods for it. The DLC is fantastic, and there are some modded skill trees that make for some really cool builds.

Anyone who plays this game on hardcore has my respect. I highly recommend checking out the hex skill tree. I like to use runes for healing and traps, then hexes for exploding enemies

I love outward, I am a day-oner and it's an unreal game! The artstyle is phenomenal, the gameplay is just hard enough to be infuriating, the hand-holding is basically zero, survival elements (which I love in games) are pretty hard and realistic at the same time, enemies are varied and unique weapons and armour are good as well and the combat is pretty good. The only thing I find a bit dumb is the trap cheesing but it's pretty much a must. Also, drop your backpack when fighting folks. Great game!

Man I played this and created the most powerful two handed character build imaginable, but was too scared to play hardcore. Shoot I still haven't beaten the DLC. Also, want to say that Alchemy is very powerful. Sometimes all you need is about 9 health potions and a courage boon.

This was really informative without getting too into the weeds. I caught a review of the definitive edition the other day thanks to the algorithm, and it piqued my interest. Unfortunately, before your video everything I found was either incredible focused, or super in-depth play throughs. This was exactly what I needed.

Outward is one of the few games where every the little bit of progression is super satisfying, and even the "junk" item drops are meaningful. And that lantern you skipped getting in the Roland quest line; very useful. Worth playing nice with Roland to get. 😀 Don't forget that Runic Lantern spell can be used to shoot lightning balls too, and in any direction if I remember right! Awesome video!
