some cats if you hold them by the neck like a mama cat does, gently not hard they usually don't squirm as much I do it with my cats when they had a bad case of fleas on them, I just filled the bathtub with warm water it came up to the middle of their legs and I bathed them like that, a few meows and the big eyes were the order of the day but I expect their "complaing" told me they were alright. I always gave them a good drying, after drying I kept them in a dry towel gave them a treat and they usually sat on me to remind me they didn't like it.
