This video is a compilation of the MH4U Key Quest Only Series which consisted of 3 videos. This shows that I tried to beat MH4U from the start of Low rank all the way to the G rank final boss. Hope you enjoy!

Challenge Rules
1. No doing Quests except Key Quests
2. Can only do key quests ONCE
3. No Backing out with subquests
4. Solo Only (No Multiplayer)
5. No Keeping or Selling Items recieved after a failed quest (Must revert to last save)
6. No Reverting your save after completing a quest
7. You only have 5 Abandons; If all are used up, you can't abandon a quest anymore (Rule added during G Rank)

Honestly the challenge is very cool, but the whole set abandon amount was a tad weird, especially in a extremely hard challenge like this. It was a cool run, and i enjoyed watching it.

Thats what I thought too. I know its G-Rank, but it feels like just a useless add-on to an already hard challenge. Like he counted every time he forgot an item or forgot about the rule. I feel like if the rule is forgetful, it shouldn’t be applied

Greatly enjoyed the video. Very fun challenge ideas to watch, and restricts your options in an interesting way. I wouldn't add restrictions like the "No Abandoning Quests" or "Arbitrary Limit on Number of Abandons" though. Not a super easy thing to keep track of over the dozens of hours needed for a full playthrough like this, and doesn't add much to the run. So long as you just don't deliberately exploit the system it really isn't a big deal. So no Abandoning Quests for tail runs or to get specific invaders, stuff like that. Abandoning for simple things like forgetting a Hot Drink is expected at least once or twice over the course of a playthrough and being punished with a permanent loss of a potentially valuable resource is a bit extreme.

I didn't even think this was possible, congrats! Getting the 4 Srouded Nerscylla claws was key as I don't think you can beat Gog without a maxed out G-rank weapon and random armor.

pretty sure this challenge was scuffed cause based on the gameplay, he really wasn't struggling like other challenges here, he's just not very good at the game (which is fine) which is what makes it seem challenging lol

Thats why no hit runs or no death runs are way more entertaining than this. I was expecting a real entertaining challenge but its just not that entertaining

By watching the video, i think you'd have an easier time (at least a little bit) if you didn't spam SAED giving up your red shield and having to recharge it every time, by relying on guard pounts and regular AEDs you'd have kept your shield for longer, improving your survivability.

I remember my very first time beating Gog being very similar with time. The clock was blinking and I didn’t think I was going to beat the quest so I went to go try to gather his parts not realizing his drill was actually something I could use so I went to try to collect from it and it activated his own spike to kill him for the final hit

40:47 if it was 4 out of 5 before and you wanted to make it 6 abandons because you forget the rule then it should be 4 out of 6 not 5 out of 6 you just giving yourself 1 extra abandons like that you might as well just leave it at 4 out of 5 and don't count the error.

This is one of the most painful and frustrating challenge videos to watch. 90% of your problems come from just being bad at the game. Watching you try and tank damage with a charge blade and heal in the monsters face is just hilarious. "Don't get hit" is the strategy you should be using from the very start. Maybe try Rise?

I think it was impossible in Tri at least, as i tried fighting Lagiacrus with basic gear, and my damage sucked so bad i basically would time out, even the final boss in offline, without having already done high rank, you're lucky if you can even repel it without the heaven's thunder ls.
