Seeing the old games that I used to love coming out on phones is equal parts amazing and infuriating! 😂 I love the accessibility and exposure (both to newcomers and longtime fans). But, for me, nothing beats the feel of the controller. Even on PC games, I used controllers because it just added to the experience and immersion for me. So, do I like it? Yes. Am I a grumpy "back in my day..." old man about it? Also yes. 🤣

2:32 Perhaps the speed up on mobile is due to refresh rate and frame rate being higher on mobile devices? I remember running New Vegas at 165 hz on PC and noticed I was running and attacking extremely fast while enemies were too (which also caused my game to spaz out and crash). Upon doing a short search (don’t take my word for this cuz I’m not an expert), it’s something to do with the game’s physics engine being tied with frame rate, which is then related to refresh rates as higher refresh rates require a larger supply of FPS from the CPU and GPU of a device. It could also be the fact that the game just runs at higher frames on a phone too lol.

Entirely possible. You're technically not running it on the phone itself so whatever system you're streaming it from is solid

This could be so doable, even comfortable, with an external controller grip for your phone. I've been playing NV on my Steam Deck and it's so chill and playable, I bet the experience could be almost as good on a phone

Most phones have gyro sensors but will never have the option to use gyro to analog stick controls like the steamdeck or similar devices have

Do yourself a favour and use a community layout, the default controls do get the job done but theirs something special about fnv with gyro aiming especially with something like sniping

The only thing I can imagine for combat controls is putting the phone flat on a surface, then thumbs on the joysticks and index for pressing the buttons. It'd be uncomfortable as hell, but it might work. Were you wearing mirrored glasses at one point?

Theorically you don't have to play the game on the cloud you can play it natively via apps that allow wine (linux program that allows you to run windows applications) onto your android phone, but the only issue is you can't run steam for some reason, so iirc you can only get it to run if you have the GOG version or if you pirated it
