Quick recap for people who don’t know the story of hello neighbor, Mr Peterson’s wife was killed in a car accident, and his daughter was killed when the kid, who’s name is Aaron, accidentally pushed her (Mya) of the roof of their house. Mr Peterson was afraid to lose the only family member he had left, so he locked Aaron in their basement (which I guess he moved to the attic in the museum). That’s why he was helping Mr Peterson. Because even though he’s terrified of his dad, deep down he still loves him, and didn’t want to leave him trapped.

In the end the kid doesn't have Stockholm syndrome. If you remembered hello neighbor hide and seek you'd know that the kid was actually the neighbor's son that's why the kid was sad at the end.

So for people who don’t understand, Mr. Peterson is that kids dad and was very very mad at his son because at the end of Hello Neighbor Hide and Seek you play as the daughter and the son pushes you off a roof not knowing that you (Mr. Petersons Daughter) would die. So he must have been punishing his son and then his son saw his dad in trouble and still loved him because he is still his father. I’m not 100% sure this is right but it’s the best I can guess.

Yeah so in all hello neighbor games it makes Mr. Peterson seem like a bad person but he is kind of like a neutral from trying to protect his kid but still hiding secrets because the kid (Mr. Peterson’s son) is been sick after his mother died in the car accident and after that he pushed his sister off the building. Not positive that is the story but that’s what I’m thinking. I learned this information from other content creators such as DanTDM as I know ThinkNoodles Collaborates with in a lot of Who’s your daddy videos and others in all keep up the good work Noodles 👍🏾

my theory is that the Neighbor was good and was trying to protect the kid aka his son because his son never died and i think he was trying to protect his son from the The Guest aka the crow remember in Hello Guest the crow took over the neighbors house and at the end of the game we see the neighbor trapped in the house what if he never told his son about The Guest/The crow and tried to get him as far from the house as possible that's why he was in the museum and at the end the person that hit you was the crow.

Yeah, he's most likely his son from Hello Neighbor Hide & Seek or it could be that the kid is a stranger and just happens to be modeled after Aaron Peterson.
