I beat Kingdom Hearts (it hurt me)

old comment to make but im pretty sure the ending is so dramatic cuz kairi being a princess in the lore , they all have to respectfully return to their worlds that were being all restored lmaooooo so she ended up leaving alone and sora stayed behind cuz without the gateways across the worlds open again till kh2 he would have no way of reaching home

- Of course this series would begin with a Disney Acid Sequence. - Who would have guessed that Aerith's first English VA would go on to voice a Disney Princess? - Fun fact: Vincent Valentine was apparently intended to be in Olympus Coliseum, but the role was given to Cloud for brand recognition. That's why he has Vincent's outfit. - You skipped it here, but the way Clayton attracted the Heartless to Deep Jungle really is similar to how they were drawn by Riku's strong desires. - Well, of course Maleficent would take advantage of Riku's desperation to rescue Kairi. She just needed to give him reason to distrust the one person left who could steer him out of the bad path, that's all. - We don't need Rhys to put Pooh in a horror story. Kingdom Hearts already forced the bear into existential dread, as we can see (and not just once). - Well, Triton is of unknown age. He may very well know a lot of old legends of the KH universe. (Also, Ariel's a desperate teenager, and Ursula approached her at an opportune moment. Why not?) - I wonder what boy seeking a way out of "this prison" Ansem is really talking about...? - Unfortunately, light-realmers can't normally cross the Door to Darkness. That's why Riku and Mickey are stuck (for now). Oh, and that sepia sequence was a new addition in Final Mix (just like Riku's scenes at Hollow Bastion's step and in the realm of darkness). - The first secret movie debuted in the overseas version of Kingdom Hearts. The second one is from Final Mix.

seeing this, it takes me back to 2004 days. this was the first game i bought with my ps2 and i still remember how awed i was with the graphics. KH2 blew my expectations even further despite being much easier. thanks for the trip down memory lane aly

I have a love/hate with this series. Literally. I love the first three games and i hate the rest lol. The series would have been far better, in terms of story, if KH2 had been the last game. But more to the point of this game, the scene where Sora stabs himself with the keyblade of hearts is my favorite scene in the whole franchise. But the ending is what really gets me. "Take care of her" hit me hard back in 2002, because Riku was the character I identified with the most (still is tbh). I dont think anybody would judge you for crying at something like that. Now, if you cried when Clayton shot at a gorilla, that would be a little excessive lol, but i think people have come to expect it at the ending. Edit: btw, make sure you dont skip chain of memories or you are going to be thoroughly confused. If you can, i actually recommend playing the gba version, as it is far more simplified and straightforward compared to it's playstation counterpart. (All battles take place on a single screen with no need for camera movement for example.)

Its always funny to me how people who are not already invested in Sora and Riku being homosexuals can *clearly* tell that Sora and Kairi are romantically linked before even leaving Destiny Islands. Fujoshis eternally BTFO.
