They were pretty chill to say the least. When I think of a snake, I usually think of them as creatures with a high temper, aggressive, either waiting for you to give it a reason to hurt you, or plotting on how to hurt you regardless if you're bothering it or not. These snakes were quite the opposite.

@@razerfirebrand1163 You must’ve been raised on wild, fictional tales about snakes. In real life, snakes are usually very well mannered animals that are just vibing. Some snakes are high strung and easy to scare, but no snake is outright aggressive. Plus, being bitten by a snake is much better than being bitten by a lizard (assuming it’s not venomous of course). It’s much easier to remove a biting snake from yourself because they have slim, backwards facing teeth, so a credit card can usually dislodge their mouth from skin. They also don’t bite down very hard, or chew usually (only some venomous species chew). The biggest concerns are: a large snake can still hurt a lot with its bite (obviously because it’s mouth and teeth are larger), and the real danger of being constricted. Usually captive snakes are very good at not constricting so hard that you should be in pain, but on occasion they could crush your ribs or organs if given the opportunity. It’s never intentional, but the snake has no limbs to climb with and thus relies on it’s muscular grip around an object. This is why you’re not supposed to let them wrap around your chest or even waist sometimes.

EDIT: These snakes are owned by a notorious animal abuser. While they did okay here, do not give Brian Barczyk an ounce of your support. Honestly I spent most of the video watching the snakes. They were clearly well-socialized, and honestly there's not much to fear from ball pythons (the little pretzel-y ones) anyways! The boas (I think they were?) require more careful handling, but with a trained hand they're just fine. Thank you for treating the snakes kindly, we're always in need of people who respect reptiles. :D
